JGU is a non-profit university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and established by the Haryana Private Universities<br />
(Second Amendment) Act, 2009, in Sonipat, Haryana (National Capital Region of Delhi). The mission of JGU is to promote globally<br />
oriented learning and research in the social sciences. JGU strives to be a world class centre for inter-disciplinary knowledge, the first of its<br />
kind in India. It has five schools: Jindal School of International Affairs; Jindal Global Law School; Jindal Global Business School; Jindal<br />
School of Government and Public Policy; Jindal School of Liberal Arts & Humanities.<br />
JSIA is India’s first global policy school. JSIA has been offering a 2-year Masters degree in Diplomacy, Law and Business - M.A. (DLB)<br />
since 2011. The B.A. (Hons.) <strong>GA</strong> has been designed as India’s first ever inter-disciplinary undergraduate degree to train students for<br />
international careers through basic learning in world affairs. Admissions are now open for the academic year 2015-16 (classes commence<br />
from 1st August 2015).<br />

Programme Modalities<br />
The B.A. (Honours) <strong>GA</strong> is a 3-Year Programme. It is an on-campus<br />
residential, full-time, five-day-a-week degree programme. Student<br />
graduates with B.A. (Honours) <strong>GA</strong> at the end of 3 years.<br />
Optional Language Training: Student can opt for an additional<br />
Intensive Foreign Language Training Certificate after graduation to<br />
become eligible to apply to American universities for a Masters degree.<br />

Those who progress to the M.A. (DLB) can opt for a second M.A.<br />
from Queen Mary University of London, UK; University of Leeds,<br />
UK; or University of Warsaw, Poland.<br />
Semester Abroad Opportunities<br />
Careers for B.A. (Hons.) <strong>GA</strong><br />
A Career Director assists students in finding the right internships in<br />
the United Nations system, other intergovernmental, regional and<br />
non-governmental organisations, financial institutions, think tanks<br />
and diplomatic missions.<br />
The curriculum of the B.A. (Hons.) <strong>GA</strong> includes a mandatory Guided<br />
Internship requirement that prepares students for careers in the<br />
multiple opportunities afforded by ever-expanding career streams<br />
like Peace and Conflict Resolution, International Justice,<br />
International Economic Development, Humanitarian<br />
Relief, Human Rights Advocacy, Political and Economic<br />

Taiwan Education Centre<br />
JSIA hosts India’s first Taiwan Education Centre, which has been<br />
established by National Tsing Hua University of Taiwan with the<br />
backing of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China<br />
(Taiwan). The Centre is directed by Taiwanese specialists in<br />
Mandarin Chinese language and imparts beginners, intermediate<br />
and advanced-level Mandarin lessons to students from JGU.

Admission Procedure<br />
Applicants to the B.A. (Hons.) <strong>GA</strong> at JSIA must have successfully<br />
passed the examination at the 10+2 level of schooling or its<br />
equivalent. This course is open to students from any stream<br />
including Arts, Commerce, Science etc. All applicants need<br />
to fill the B.A. (Hons.) <strong>GA</strong> admissions form and pay an<br />
application fee. Both can be done through the JSIA website at<br />
http://www.jsia.edu.in/admissions. Following this, entrance<br />
examinations will be held on a rolling basis starting in December<br />
2014. The entrance exam is conducted online. It tests students’<br />
ability for analytical and critical thinking and general knowledge<br />
of international affairs. Students with SAT or ACT scores need not<br />
take the JSIA entrance exam. Early applicants will get priority in<br />
receving scholarships.<br />

Apply online to JSIA on the prescribed JSIA application form<br />
by giving a DD of Rs. 500/- in favour of O.P. Jindal Global<br />
University payable at Sonipat or by making the payment<br />
online.<br />

The top five entrance exam test scorers who enroll in the B.A.<br />
(Hons.) <strong>GA</strong> programme will be awarded the O.P. Jindal Outstanding<br />
Merit Scholarship of variable amount. This will be based solely on<br />
performance in the entrance test.<br />
Shallu Jindal Outstanding Women Scholarships<br />
The aim of the scholarship, which is of variable amount, is to<br />
nurture, encourage and support outstanding women to enter the<br />
field of international studies.<br />
Savitri Jindal Merit-cum-Means Fellowships<br />
This fellowship is for outstanding students who may not otherwise<br />
be able to afford the full fees of the B.A. (Hons.) <strong>GA</strong>.<br />
Naveen Jindal Young Global Scholarships<br />
The aim of the scholarship, which is of variable amount, is to<br />
nurture, encourage and support young global leaders. It will be<br />
awarded on the basis of an independent selection process, which<br />
includes an assessment of the candidates grades in his/her 10+2<br />
level of schooling or its equivalent, extra-curricular achievements<br />
etc.<br />
Haryana Domicile<br />
Meritorious Haryana domicile students qualify for fee concession<br />
to study at JSIA.<br />

JGU has established tie-ups with HDFC Bank, IDBI Bank, PNB,<br />
AVANSE and SBI to facilitate educational loans for students who<br />
are admitted to the B.A. (Hons.) <strong>GA</strong> programme.<br />
