To obtain the highest quality <strong>of</strong> life for our citizens by<br />
providing cost effective programs <strong>and</strong> services. We will<br />
strive to accomplish this goal by promoting teamwork,<br />

CANCELLATIONS<br />
Due to athletic <strong>and</strong> education<br />
programming, some programs<br />
or activities may have to be<br />
rescheduled or cancelled.<br />
1. If a program is cancelled,<br />
all registered participants<br />
will be notified by email.<br />
2. If inclement weather forces<br />
program cancellation,<br />
participants may confirm by<br />
calling 228-938-2356 on<br />
Monday-Friday between<br />
8-5 P.M.<br />
3. If poor weather conditions<br />
develop within 90 minutes <strong>of</strong><br />
activity or event, report to site<br />
if in doubt.<br />
4. Once at a program site,<br />
decisions concerning the<br />
cancellation <strong>of</strong> activity will be<br />
the judgment <strong>of</strong> the site<br />
supervisor, leader, or <strong>of</strong>ficial.<br />
5. Every attempt will be made to<br />
reschedule a cancelled activity<br />
<strong>and</strong> notification will be given to<br />
program participants.<br />
INSURANCE / LIABILITY<br />
The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Pascagoula</strong> does not<br />
provide hospital/medical insurance<br />
coverage for persons participating<br />
in sponsored activities <strong>and</strong> cannot<br />
assume responsibility for injury to<br />
any participants in it’s recreation<br />
programs. Participants are encouraged<br />
to obtain their own insurance<br />
coverage prior to the start <strong>of</strong> the<br />
program <strong>and</strong> to consult with a<br />
physician before participating in<br />
any activity.<br />
The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Pascagoula</strong> does have<br />
liability coverage. All claims should<br />
be made with Human<br />
Resources, 228-938-6602.<br />

If you have lost or misplaced an<br />
item in one <strong>of</strong> our parks or facilities,<br />
please contact the Parks & Recreation<br />
<strong>of</strong>fice. Articles that are found<br />
will be kept for 7 days <strong>and</strong> then<br />
donated to a local charitable organization.<br />
The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Pascagoula</strong> is<br />
not responsible for lost or stolen<br />
items.<br />
MAKEUP POLICY<br />
Classes missed for individual<br />
absences (i.e. illness, vacations,<br />
etc.) are not “made-up” nor may<br />
participants attend other classes.<br />

NON-RESIDENT POLICY<br />
Non-resident program rates are<br />
50% higher for athletic programs<br />
<strong>and</strong> 25% higher for non-athletic<br />
events or programs.<br />
Only Jackson County residents are<br />
permitted to rent <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Pascagoula</strong><br />
facilities.<br />
ONLINE REGISTRATION<br />
Online registration is now required<br />
for most programs <strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers signup<br />
now <strong>and</strong> pay later. Computers are<br />
located at the <strong>Pascagoula</strong> Recreation<br />
Center for those who need<br />
them.<br />
Football, cheerleading, <strong>and</strong> basketball<br />
registration will be for one week<br />
(7days) after the beginning registration<br />
date. No late entries accepted.<br />

PHOTOGRAPHS<br />
For program purposes only, from<br />
time to time photographs will be<br />
taken <strong>of</strong> participants. You will be<br />
asked to sign a photo release at the<br />
time <strong>of</strong> registration. If you do not<br />
wish to have your photo or child’s<br />
photo taken, please tell the staff.<br />
PROGRAM FEES<br />
<strong>Program</strong> Fees are not pro-rated.<br />
Please plan to register on suggested<br />
dates.<br />
The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Pascagoula</strong> charges a<br />
$35 fee for checks that are returned<br />
as un-collectable by our bank.<br />
REGISTRATION EXCEPTIONS<br />
<strong>Program</strong>s are designed for age<br />
groups <strong>and</strong> instructor/student ratios<br />
on a level best benefiting the<br />
student. Please do not ask us to<br />
exceed class limits, put your child in<br />
the different age or skill level, or on<br />
a specific team.<br />
REFUND POLICY<br />
With proper notice, full refunds are<br />
given until after the first day <strong>of</strong><br />
program or camp until uniforms<br />
have been ordered.<br />
WAITING LIST<br />
If you are unable to register for a<br />
program due to full enrollment<br />
capacity, you may request to be<br />
on a waiting list. Waiting lists are<br />
kept for the current program season<br />
only. There are no guarantees for<br />
placement.<br />
