The Central Valley Corvette Club was
chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only
real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome
CORVETTE. It's a social organization with
activities that provide enjoyment for the true
Corvette lover.
MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE HELD
AT 6.30 P.M. ON THE 3 RD TUESDAY
OF EVERY MONTH AT YOSEMITE
FALLS CAFE, 4278 W. ASHLAN AVE,

ATTEND THE MEETINGS AND MEET
OUR MEMBERS.
Club activities include monthly meetings,
car shows, weekend Club activities,
overnighters, picnics, road rallies, summer
cruises, holiday get-to-gathers and more!
Eligibility for membership in CVC is
defined in Article III, section 1 of the
bylaws in part as follows: "Membership in
Central Valley Corvettes shall be open to all
Corvette owners who are sponsored by a
member in good standing. Additionally, a
prospective member must, within a three
month period , attend two consecutive
meetings, participate in two club sanctioned
social activities, pay current membership
dues and initiation fees, and be approved by
two- thirds vote of membership present at
any general membership meeting by secret
ballot
Sponsors shall be responsible for advising
prospective member of results. All members
must submit proof of personal insurance in
accordance with California State Law upon
application for membership, and all
members must be a member of the
association providing club liability
insurance for CENTRAL VALLEY
CORVETTES.
A prospective member who does not have a
sponsor will be provided one by the
membership committee. Non-members may
not participate in more than three meetings
or two sanctioned activities.
CVC membership dues are $67.00 plus an
initiation fee of $35.00. Membership entitles
two members at the same address voting
privileges at meetings (provided they are in
good standing) and membership rights.

November 18th is not only our regular monthly
meeting, it is also our annual business meeting.
It is the time of year we elect new officers based
on your vote. Two prerequisites in being able to
vote, aside from being a member in good
standing, is that 1) you must attend the business
meeting to cast your ballot and 2) you cannot
have missed more than 4 meetings this year.
While these conditions sound modest, it is
troubling to examine the attendance records and
see that barely half the club is eligible to
participate in the election. While 44 people have
met the criteria, an astounding 42 members have
missed at least 5 of the last 10 meetings. Most of
them a lot more than five and several have not
attended a meeting at all this year. Most of us
realize CVC is a social club, but as your outgoing
president, I would ask everyone to set a goal of
making at least 6 of the first 10 meetings in 2015
so that you can participate in the democratic
process.
With that said, here is your 2015 ballot. We have
multiple candidates running for each office with
the one exception. Your candidates for President
are Andy Anderson and Gary Pfelpsen, Skip
Severance is running unopposed as Vice-
President of Activities, Dick Danielsen faces off
against Jan DeMello-Pflepsen for Vice-President
of Public Relations, running for Secretary are
On a couple of other fronts, about 30% of you
have renewed your membership dues for next
year. That’s pretty good considering the notices
only went out at the October meeting. Dues are
streaming in on a regular basis, so hopefully just
about everyone will have paid by the November
18th due date.
Don’t forget the annual CVC Christmas party is
Thursday, December 11th. So far 58 people
have signed up and 36 have paid the $24.00 per
couple tab. The club is chipping in up to $2,500
which will cover about 70% of the overall cost of
the evening. It would be great if you could
make any outstanding payments by the
November 18th meeting. Based on past
experience, we estimate an additional 6 to 10
members will sign up which should push
attendance in the 64 to 68 range. We have also
sent a written invitation to our club sponsor Ed
Dena and his wife. CVC also thanked them for
their support the past couple of years and asked
Ed if he would be interested in sponsoring the
club next year.
In closing, please start thinking about any runs
you would like to put together for next year.
With the exception of the annual CVC picnic at
Kroekerville on Sunday May 3rd, 2015, the
calendar is wide open. At this point we only
have three events on the schedule with the
Laton High School Senior Night on November
7th, the Christmas party on December 11th and
the Christmas hayride and dinner on December
14th. See you on November 18th and if you are
eligible, don’t forget to vote early, but not
often.

General Meeting Minutes
October 21, 2014
The General Meeting was called to order at
6:30pm by President Craig Hansen.
Minutes from the September General meeting
were read by Terri Parks in Secretary Kim
Fosnaugh's absence. Motion was made by
Ruthie Danielsen to accept the minutes as
read and it was seconded by John Bird.
Charlotte Renna handed out nomination
forms in Parliamentarian Linda Laningham's
absence.
Treasurer Fred Parks gave the Treasurer's
report.
Membership Chairman Charlie Fosnaugh
announced he would be sending out the dues
renewal forms.
In Vice President of Public Relations Skip
Severance's absence Charlie reported the on
the birthdays and anniversaries of the club
members.
Vice President of Activities Pam Hansen had
members report on their past runs. She
reported the future runs as the Sanger
Queen Haul, Ghost Walk, Toys for Tots' Car
A motion was made to approve the Christmas
Party $2,500.00 budget. The motion was
unanimously approved by the membership.
Bringing the cost per member to $12.00 and
nonmembers to $37.00 per person.
New Business:
A reminder that the Board election will be held
at the November general meeting.
A thank you letter will be send to Ed Dena
along with an invitation to the Christmas party.
A reminder to submit proof of insurance with
the membership renewal form.
October's Board meeting will be on the 28th at
the Severance's.
The motion to adjourn the meeting was made
by Chuck Hall and seconded by Ruthie
Danielsen. Meeting adjourned at 7:28 p.m.

delinquent. Membership may be terminated for those members whose dues have

dues payment. Also, please include a copy of your current automobile insurance

Oct. 21, 2014
Jan & Gary are on vacation. They went to Malaga, or some exotic place
such as Croatia. Jan asked me to fill her shoes, which I suspected, but
now know is not possible. Charlie helped me out by sending a CVC
group email, just like Jan sends and not one person responded (because
he forgot to send it out!). This called for desperate measures. Not
wanting to disappoint Jan, I did what any decent replacement would do.
I stuck my nose in your business. Most information was too shocking to
reveal. I will share a few tidbits.
1. Remember that lovely party we all went to last year for Mike & Diane’s
(fake) anniversary. The truth is, they are not married. Just waiting to
see if it will work out for them.
2. Connie & Andy are pregnant. They have about a million grand
daughters’, decided to try for a boy.
3. Our new members, Glenn, Lorraine, Mike & Lynne are undercover
agents from the Porsche Club. Their corvettes are rented. CVC is under
investigation to see how and why we have so much fun.
4. Debbie and Linda went on a cruise with a group of friends. Included in
the package price they got a quickie divorce. They thought it was too
good to pass up.
5. One last item....Susan is a fake. No one can make pizza that great in
their kitchen. She must have bought it at some very special pizza party.
That is all I have at this time. Pretty sure this will be the last time I will be
asked to this.

Oh, and here’s some last minute additions (from the meeting);
Ed Kroeker is recovering slowly.
Roy Whitson is having a heart procedure this week.
Ruthie Danielsen is having a procedure in the next week.
Skip & Leigh Ann are on vacation in Hawaii, having a wonderful time
on Harleys.
David Son’s dad is slowly recovering from heart surgery.
Keith Garrison is having a pace maker installed.
Kim Fosnaugh is having back surgery in December – fusion of 2 discs.
The best kind of people are the ones that come into your life and
make you see the Sun where you once saw Clouds. The people that
believe in you so much, you start to believe in you too. The people
that love you simply for being you. The once in a lifetime kind of
people!
