The Global Bachelor in Nutrition and Health at VIA University College, Department of Nutrition and Health,

Aarhus, is a 3½ years higher education programme leading to a professional bachelor’s degree.

The programme is taught in English and it is a full-time course of study corresponding to 210 ECTS credits.

The academic year is divided into semesters. The programme consists of a basic year (two semesters)

and two and one-half years (five semesters more) of specialised study in one of two fields:

Public Health Nutrition and Food Policy

The aim is for students to become qualified to independently handle health-promoting and diseasepreventive

communicative, educational and management tasks in the development and implementation

of nutrition and food policies in various sectors (e.g. schools, workplaces or institutions).

Employment possibilities: Project Manager, Health Promotion Consultant, Product Developer,

Food Consultant, Nutritional Consultant, Consumer Advisor.

Lifestyle Coaching and Fitness Management

The aim is for students to become qualified to independently handle health-promoting, diseasepreventive

and motivational communicative, management and guidance tasks in relation to diet,

physical activity and other health-related lifestyle factors.

Employment possibilities: Fitness Instructor, Health Consultant, Personal Trainer, Weight-loss Consultant,

Project Manager, Stress Coach, Manager in the fitness and wellness industry.
