ROBINSON REELS 

ROBINSON offers over 100 reels’ models made with means of the highest technological standards in the RRT 

system. The heart of RRT is the Robinson Global Engineering Center (RGEC) where with use of advanced computer 

systems new reels are born. Due to the newest informational and technological coverage RGEC is linked with 

production lines which guarantees precision and quality of the final product. Every, even the smallest element is 

carefully checked by the computer system controlled by the Design Center. It enables creating products with strict 

technical quality. They are then tested and adjusted by the Virtual Testing Laboratory where an analysis of different 

stadiums of the reels work is made and by the Field Testers who try the reels in real conditions. 

Ball Bearing System – All ball bearings feature high endurance for pressure and corrosion. The 

bearings that may come in contact with water (as well as sea salt) the surfaces were covered with ultra 

thin ceramic layers. It reinforces the protection from corrosion over 10 times. The bearings supporting the 

internal mechanisms are hermetic and do not need any further oiling. 

RRT Gears – Our high efficiency gears are made of specially chosen metal alloys (e.g. Marine Brass, 

Super Dural). We have utilized mechanical carving techniques steered by active computer assistance 

(ACA). This system guarantees full homogeny of the elements and total match with the blueprints. 

RRT Spools – All spools were made in the RRT technology and feature minimum casting resistance. 

Their shape (profile, proportion between diameter and length, line provider’s radius) were designed with 

means of virtual visualization. Aluminium spools (ultralight flight dural) are forged and enhanced on 

digitally steered machines. 

RRT Drag Clutch – Friction elements in the drag modules guarantee smooth use of 

the clutch. They are made of individually chosen materials which have the optimal friction 

parameters. All drag discs feature full homogeny during the periods of work - the initial 

breaking force does not exceed the pressure force (no ‘friction inertia’). All drag modules 

are waterproof. 

RRT Reels „Bodies-Reels” – bodies made with RRT feature a stiff support for 

the internal mechanisms. Every rotor is dynamically balanced. The RRT enables 

utilization of different, ultra light materials such as superduraluminium, high stiffness 

graphite, ABS. Every type of body and rotor is characterized by high quality of the 

most vital mechanisms (e.g. internal seats).
