1001 The First Pitch on CCA's New Baseball Field! 

Live Items So Far… 

This first pitch will make history. The very first pitch on the very first day the ball field 

is used for an official game can never happen again. This is it, your child's chance at 

stardom! Your child will be ceremoniously escorted to the pitcher's mound on 

Thursday, April 1st (and it's no April fools!), supplied with a baseball and instructed to 

smile while that first, blissful pitch is captured on film. You not only get to keep the 

baseball, signed by our renowned baseball coach and the first CCA baseball team ever, 

but we'll commemorate this auspicious moment with a framed photograph as well. The 

game is scheduled against Sturgis and begins at 4:00 PM for that after-work game 

watching opportunity!

1002 Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra Tickets for Six and Dinner with a Private Preview and 

Presentation of the “Austrian Connections” Concert! 

You and your friends, a total of six, will enjoy tickets to this magnificent CCSO 

Austrian Connections concert on Saturday, May 1, 2010. First, however, on Saturday, 

April 17th, in preparation for the concert event, you and your guests will join George 

Scharr, the Director of Education and trombonist with the CCSO, and his wife for a 

private event featuring a presentation on Brahms and the upcoming concert. This 

dinner and presentation will take place at CCA’s Wool Shop where a full kitchen is at 

our disposal and a fabulous wooden dining table is available for your comfort! 

George will delight in sharing concert secrets, background composer information and 

details about what you’ll soon hear at the performance. While George whirls you 

away to the imaginings of Brahms’ Austria, you and your guests will enjoy a complete 

multi-course meal. You’ll begin with wine and hors d’ oeuvres during the 

presentation. Then, dinner, dessert and coffee will follow. Your menu and wine 

choices will be prepared and served especially for your enjoyment by our Parents 

Association Executive Board members. 

After this memorable preview evening, you and your friends will have tickets to attend the May 1st concert at the Barnstable 

Performing Arts Center in Hyannis. Jung-Ho Pak will conduct and the concert will feature Wendy Warner on cello. This one is sure 

to delight everyone in your crowd.

1003 Hand Carved, Hand Painted, Hand Crafted Philadelphia Comb-back Windsor 

Arm Chair 

Fine furniture maker and CCA parent, Daniel Santos, hand crafted and hand painted this reproduction 

masterpiece, originally made ca. 1750. Dan is a featured furniture maker at Winterthur Furniture Forum in 

March which is a prestigious distinction. The process of chair making involves whittling, carving, steam 

bending and painting. This is an easy chair, meant to be used for relaxation rather than as a dining chair. We 

invite you to sit, relax; you'll see for yourself why you want this piece of art in your home.

1004 Green Eggs and Ham Anyone? 

This is not just for kids! Who doesn't love a home-cooked breakfast? Our esteemed Head of School, Clark 

Daggett, will act as chef for your child's class on one very special morning. Mr. Daggett will prepare, serve 

(with some helpers) and stay to enjoy this breakfast bounty with your child and his or her classmates. After 

all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gets the brain cells fired up! Breakfast will be served 

either for your child's classmates (for grades K through 6) or for the fellow students in your child's first 

period class (for grades 7 through 12), depending upon who wins the bid. AND, this all happens at the Wool 

Shop! Tables will be set. Pancakes will be "griddled." Eggs will be scrambled. Juice will be poured. 

Home-baked fresh blueberry muffin aromas will waft through the room. The distinction? Clearly, when else 


will your child enjoy breakfast prepared and served by the Head of School? Mr. Daggett will be adorned in his chef's hat and apron,

Your hosts, Michael & Lisa Pajolek, will delight you with this cocktail cruise

Jan Rapp, CCA Faculty, is offering this creative class during which you and three of your friends will begin the process of learning to 

throw your own pottery. Jan's art room is equipped with two pottery wheels that are fun and user friendly. While you are enjoying 

this 1½ hour session (four times, for a grand total of 6 hours), Jan will offer her instruction, demonstration and suggestions for how 

you could create a customized, pottered piece. The goal is to start with a chunk of clay, decide on a vessel type, mold it for throwing 

on the wheel, paint it and fire it for completion. Who knows what kind of masterpiece you and your friends might be able to bring
