With the Hasselblad Tether Plugin for Lightroom you can capture images directly into
Hasselblad camera interface.
Installing the plugin:
On a Mac, place the HasselbladTether.lrplugin file anywhere on your disk and then use the
Lightroom 4 Plug-in Manager to install it.
On a PC the plugin will be installed in Program Files/Hasselblad/Hasselblad Tether Plugin
1.0/ by default. When installing the plugin using the Lightroom 4 Plug-in Manager you must
select the “tether_hasselblad.lrplugin” folder.
Clicking OK will open the standard Lightroom tether control panel as well as a dedicated
Hasselblad control panel.
The Lightroom tether control panel includes a capture button and information about the
connected camera model, session name, ISO, shutter speed and aperture values on the
camera. The camera is connected when the camera model is shown and the back of the LCD
shows “Controlled from Phocus”
The Hasselblad control panel, however - which is also accessible via the Phocus logo in the
menu bar (Mac only) - includes most of the controls known from the Camera tool in Phocus.
You will notice that Live Video is not possible in Lightroom.
Hasselblad Tether Plugin for Lightroom
Unlike the standard Lightroom control panel which is read only, the Hasselblad Control Panel
gives you full control of the camera parameters.
Phocus Mobile support:
The Phocus Mobile app for iPhone/iPad/iPod touch allows for remote controlling of your
camera and is an application which is fully integrated with the Hasselblad capture software,
Phocus.
At the bottom of the Hasselblad Control Panel you can choose to allow a connection for
devices running Phocus Mobile and also set up a password protection for a secure
connection. Connecting devices need to be on the same wireless network as the host
computer.
Please note that functionality is limited to camera control and trigger of captures and no
preview images will be shown on the device while connected to the Lightroom Tether Plugin.
White balance settings:
If you set the “Develop Settings” in the standard Lightroom tether control panel to “None” the
white balance of the images will be determined by the WB setting on the camera, regardless
of the settings you might have applied in Lightroom.
In order for white balance settings in Lightroom to take effect you need to change the setting
from “None” to “Same as previous”. This also goes for all other changes you may apply to the
image.
Notice that these changes are applied in Lightroom after the image has been captured and
therefore have no control over how the image is being captured.
Stopping the tethered capture:
In order to stop tethered capture to Lightroom, simply go to File/Tethered Capture/Stop
Tethered Capture and the connection to the Hasselblad camera will be terminated.
