miracle SERVICE REPORT June 22, 2013 • Reported by Rita Lim Pastor Rony’s message “It Came To Pass” is taken from a phrase in Luke 6. In the context, this phrase means “it happened this way or it so happened”. Throughout the Bible, this phrase is seen in several books of the Old and New Testaments. This phrase has different shades of meaning such as: Whatever events, occasions or circumstances that may come, whether good or bad, will only pass away. It could also be taken as “anything that comes your way only comes to pass away”. Everything is transient, nothing is permanent. Any situation, good or bad, happy or sad, will come and go. There’s a Turkish proverb that says, “This too shall pass.” You can apply it to anything. A problem in your life that you are facing will also pass away. Some problems may take a longer time, but others a shorter time. When your eternal spirit is born again and saved, you will be taken into this place called Heaven – the place all of us will go when we confess Jesus Christ and when we trust Him with all of our hearts. In his message, Pastor Rony demonstrated the many changing points in our lives. In every stage of life, there will be changes. That includes our priorities. When we were young, our toys held high priority in our lives. As we get older, we look forward to something else. It could be a bicycle, then a motorbike or a car. Looking at the changing phases of life, there will also come a day when your children are grown up and they will not need you as they did before nor would they want to tag along with you any longer. All of us have to accept that things are changing and treasure the things that will one day pass away. Once it is gone, it is gone and things will never be the same again. From infancy to old age, one thing is certain – changes. Even our very life will come to pass. Is afterlife transient too? What will happen when we believe in Christ and pass into eternity? From Ecclesiastes 3:11, we see that God has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also put eternity in our hearts. We will have absolutely no doubt that when we pass from this life to the hereafter, it is a period of eternity with no end. We are all heading for a future that is eternal and blissful. This makes it much easier for us to go through this very uncertain world with its many changing points. In eternity, happiness, joy, pleasure, enjoyment, understanding and love will never pass away. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. In this world, friends come and go. On earth, if Jesus tarries, even husbands and wives will one day have to part. But the difference is that as Christians, no matter how long they have been separated through death, there is going to be a reunion for all eternity. When your eternal spirit is born again and saved, you will be taken into this place called Heaven – the place all of us will go when we confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and when we trust Him with all our hearts. Over there, we can fellowship with our friends forever. There is a final meeting place where the word “goodbye” will be erased from our vocabulary forever. In Heaven, time is endless. We could fellowship with our friends forever in Heaven. Jesus is preparing a place for each of us in His Father’s estate. He promises that He will come again to receive and lead us to the mansion that He has prepared. That is the good news of the Gospel. During the healing prayer, many came forward with faith rising in their hearts to pray for their conditions and believe that Jesus has done everything for them. Here are some of their testimonies. Tan Geok Lee came forward to give God the glory for healing her two conditions. For two weeks, she had been suffering from stiffness at the back of her neck and after prayer, the pain lifted. For a week now, she was also healed of the pricking sensation felt in her leg whenever she walked. Praise the Lord! Since he was four, Joel Lau suffered from a compulsive disorder in that he had an urge to do things a certain way. One of his urges was a strong tendency to step with his right leg first on the white line on the road. He suffered from this disorder for more than a decade. He decided to attend the Miracle Service last December just to observe how others were healed. When he shared his condition with a Gospelighter, he was prayed for and was completely delivered of that compulsive disorder. We will be taking a break from it and continue with chapter 14 later in the year. Today’s message is going to be disturbing, to say the least. We will be confronting the harsh realities of developing events in our generation and answer the tough question: Why should God be so harsh and severe on the earthlings during the Great Tribulation? As you listen to the message, keep in mind that Jesus is coming real soon! Messages in CDs and DVDs may be ordered at the counter.
