Ladle Application
ISOMAG 70 XCO, unlike other
insulating materials, will not
crush or powder under severe
compressive stress during ladle
cycling. The excellent mechanical
properties of ISOMAG 70 XCO
will also improve the ladle’s
permanent lining performance
without compromising the safety.
ISOMAG 70 XCO provides better
uniform casting temperature
which will improve the caster’s
productivity.
The excellent mechanical and thermal
properties of ISOMAG 70 XCO at
elevated temperatures, combined
with a good refractory practice, offers
substantial improvements of the
refractory performance.
Torpedo Car Application
The use of ISOMAG 70 XCO in torpedo cars will improve
the hot metal temperature during the residence time, ranging
from 15–20°C and will significantly reduce skull formation.
ISOMAG’s excellent mechanical properties will contribute
to maintain a tight
refractory lining.
Tundish Application
In tundish applications, the excellent insulating properties
of ISOMAG 70 XCO will improve the stability of the liquid
steel temperature during the casting process, will reduce
shell temperature by up to 50°C and
drastically improve the operator’s
comfort.
