Entries lodged at Show Office close at 1.00pm on Wednesday 31st October.
Prize money All classes 1st $2; 2 nd $1; 3 rd Place Card only.
2nd Prize will be awarded but no prize money paid unless 4 or more entries per class
The Section Convenor will pay Prize money at 4.30pm at the Section area.
Exhibits are to be staged by 9.00am. Judging will begin at 9.30am.
All exhibits are to be grown or produced by the Exhibitor.
No identification allowed on exhibits or disqualification will result.

inaugural “Friends of the Kapunda Show”.
Involvement mainly includes preparation for the Show in
the week leading up to Show Day.
Expressions of interest will be most welcome and can be
directed to any of the Executive Committee [details
within this Show Book].

EXHIBITOR RULES & REGULATIONS
Full Membership Privileges
Financial Members on Show Day of the Kapunda & Light Agricultural Society Inc. are entitled to
admission tickets to the Show, a voice and vote at the following AGM 20 November 7.30pm
Livestock Membership
All Livestock Exhibitors must be Members of the Society. Livestock Membership consists of 4
Livestock Member Passes.
Livestock exhibitors must adhere to all bunting, “No Parking” signs situated around the
Grounds and Regulations in Horse Schedule, or they will be asked to move their vehicles.
Opening Times of the Showground and Pavilion Area.
The Showground will be open to the public at 8.00am & the Pavilion will be open after judging is
completed. It is important to clear the Pavilion by 9.25am or disqualification will occur.
Lodging of Entries
Exhibitors are asked to make entries on the forms provided by the Society and addressed to: The
Secretary, Kapunda Show Society, PO Box 85, Kapunda 5373. POSTAL ENTRIES for most
Sections MUST BE RECEIVED BY FRIDAY 26 OCTOBER 2012 with a Stamped, Self-Addressed
Envelope for return of Section Tickets. Entries may be lodged at Kapunda & Light Show Office,
Kapunda Harness Racing Club, Hancock Road, Kapunda. Office located in the Betting Ring.
Closing Dates for entries are as per individual Sections, and Exhibitors are asked to check these. *
ALL ENTRIES must be presented to the Secretary in writing.

Prize money
All prize money will be forfeited if not collected before 16th November 2012.
Entry Details
Exhibits will not be received later than 9.15am and must not be removed until 4.30pm. Any
Exhibitor removing his or her property before the stated times will forfeit his/her prize money. All
stock must be the bona-fide property of the Exhibitor. The Stewards at any time may ask any
Exhibitor for proof of ownership. All Exhibitors and Public must leave the buildings and show ring
whilst judging is in progress [excluding where it is necessary to attend stock e.g. Horse Events]. No
one but the Stewards appointed to wait on the Judges at the time of judging are allowed to
remain in the Ring. Judges are empowered to withhold prizes where exhibits are considered
unworthy, or they may award 2nd or 3rd prizes in lieu of 1st and 2nd. They are also empowered to
decide the age of any animal and may require the owner to supply a certificate of age. Competitors
may affix their names and selling prices on Exhibits after the Judges have made their awards.
Interference with, or alteration of tickets either by competitors or public is strictly prohibited.
Competitors seen interfering with exhibits will be disqualified. The attention of the Secretary or
Stewards should be called to any supposed error immediately.
All protests must be lodged in writing to the Secretary, within 30 minutes of the event closing
accompanied by a fee of $30. This fee will be forfeited to the Society should the protest not be
upheld. The Committee’s decision is final; no correspondence will be entered into.
The Committee will endeavour to protect exhibits against damage and loss, but will not be
responsible for them in any case. Exhibits left at the Office prior to the Show will be left at the
Exhibitors own risk. No Food, Plants or the like will be allowed to be left prior to the Show.
Exhibitors are requested to note times for lodging and collecting entries from Sections entered.
Pavilion exhibitors are requested not to block main entrance to pavilion and adhere to all
signs and bunting placed there for their benefit. All stock and Pavilion exhibits are to enter by
the Hancock Road gate [the only entry point]. No Exhibitor or his/her agent shall have personal
communication with the Judges whilst in the execution of their duties, on it being proved that
communication has been held, the Exhibitor shall be disqualified. Any Exhibitor or attendants with an
exhibit, or person giving annoyance to the Judge, making use of abusive language to the Secretary
or Committee shall be liable to have his or her exhibit disqualified. The Society will not be
responsible for any accident that may occur during delivery of any exhibits, but every
reasonable care will be taken with exhibits.
EXHIBITOR RULES & REGULATIONS - Continued
No entry will be accepted from any person disqualified by the Kapunda Show Society or the
Northern Agricultural Shows Association during the period of such disqualification and should any
entry be accidentally accepted it shall, when discovered, be deemed void and entry fee forfeited.
The Committee reserves the right to cancel any class should they consider the weather or other
conditions unsuitable.
Any disqualified entry for justifiable reasons, Entry Fee will not be refunded.

SPECIAL NOTE: - Whilst every care has been exercised in the compilation of this Show
Program the Committee will not hold itself responsible for any errors or omissions and reserves the
right to amend the order of running of events should it be deemed necessary.

Convenors to adhere to the Rules & Regulations of the Society which are in
your Section Box for your information
Convenors to ensure Trophies are available on show day.
Convenors to ensure Judges & Stewards are allocated for show day.
Sponsorship to be arranged by the Convenor
Attend Section Areas at 4.30pm to supervise removal of exhibits and assist with
trophies and payment of Prizemoney.
STEWARD GUIDELINES
Stewards to be at their Sections at 8.00am.
Attend to receiving and placing of exhibits.
Assist the Judge with Section Books, prize cards etc., and offer information and
help as necessary.
Calculate Aggregate Points on completion of judging and record the Trophy
winners in Section Books before returning them to the Secretary’s Office.
Attend Section Areas at 4.30pm to supervise removal of exhibits and assist with
trophies and payment of Prize money.
Horse Stewards to keep accurate records of winners on paperwork provided,
and must Initial when giving the Exhibitor the prize money.

All Exhibitors are advised to check the relevant Section Schedules
for Conditions of Entry, Time of Delivery and Collection of their
Exhibits.
PLEASE NOTE: Exhibits left at the Show Office prior to the Show is
acceptable in certain circumstances and must be with consultation
of the Secretary. No foodstuffs, plants or the like are not permitted
to be left at the Show Office prior.
