4.4.2 Overall BACS <strong>efficiency</strong> factors for electrical <strong>energy</strong><br />
According to EN 15232, electric <strong>energy</strong> in this c<strong>on</strong>text means lighting <strong>energy</strong><br />
and electric <strong>energy</strong> required for auxiliary equipment. The BACS <strong>efficiency</strong><br />
factors in following table for electric <strong>energy</strong> (but not electric <strong>energy</strong> for the<br />
equipment) are classified depending <strong>on</strong> the building type and the <strong>efficiency</strong><br />
class of the BACS and TBM system. The factors for <strong>efficiency</strong> class C are<br />
defined to be 1 as this class represents a standard functi<strong>on</strong>ality of BACS and<br />
TBM system. The use of <strong>efficiency</strong> classes B or A always leads to lower BACS<br />
<strong>efficiency</strong> factors, i.e. an improvement of building performance.<br />
