And we’re two. It’s been two years since we first publ<strong>is</strong>hed a modest news-sheet, and things are looking good for our future success. Being a shy, retiring magazine, we’ve only one page given over <strong>to</strong> our h<strong>is</strong><strong>to</strong>ry - see pages 8. <strong>The</strong> lead s<strong>to</strong>ry th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong>sue <strong>is</strong> an old favourite; Street counts. It’s in the news again (see page 4), but with a more positive <strong>not</strong>e. A group of readers met with Simon Hughes MP in July, <strong>to</strong> talk about their experiences, and we have reason <strong>to</strong> hope that he’ll set up further meetings with those involved (see page 14). Involving an MP <strong>is</strong> the only way anything constructive can happen <strong>to</strong> change the status quo, and Simon Hughes <strong>is</strong> keen <strong>to</strong> take it further. Finally, Flo <strong>is</strong> ‘on holiday’ th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong>sue, as Cat Barr, who many readers will know as the nurse at Great Chapel Street (l<strong>is</strong>ted on page 29), has just given birth <strong>to</strong> a baby girl. Thanks <strong>to</strong> all those who’ve sent their best w<strong>is</strong>hes.
