From the Publisher
I believe that throughout our lives
we are blanketed with a myriad of seeds.
These seeds are the catalyst of how we
choose to live our lives. Of course, all
seeds don’t come to germination. The
ones that do rely on nurturing to survive.
I can look back and see the seeds that
I have chosen to nurture and how they
have blossomed into my life experiences.
Of course, not all of them being vibrant,
bountiful and beautiful. I remember one
of my spiritual teachers saying “Be careful
what you put in your God Box.” In
other words, those things I give power to
will be the power that runs my life. There
is a lot of power in seeds.
In 2005 the late Steve Jobs, founder
of Apple, gave the commencement
speech for Stanford University. He talked
about “Connecting the dots.” Quoting
him;
“Again, you can’t connect the dots
looking forward; you can only connect
them looking backwards. So you have to
trust that the dots will somehow connect
in your future. You have to trust in something
— your gut, destiny, life, karma,
whatever. This approach has never let me
down, and it has made all the difference
in my life.”
Seeds are like those dots and the
connection is the path and how we walk
it in between. I don’t believe it is a path
that doesn’t give us choices on different
ways to go, with each choice being a potential
new seed to burst forth in a new
life experience.
May we all nurture the seeds that
will open up and blanket our world with
beauty, peace and harmony.

On June 1, Cleveland VegFest debuts at Cleveland State University. The familyfriendly
event will feature top speakers, authors, and chefs in their fields: Nutrition,
Ecology, Social Justice and Animal Rights, and the art of preparing delicious, wholesome

as well as the intention to live compassionately,” says Jen Kaden, a VegFest organizer.
“We are ecstatic to be bringing a top-notch event to Cleveland, which will serve
as not only a catalyst for inspiration and migration toward the vegan philosophy, but a
bank of resources for the journey.”
VegFest will offer invaluable information for newcomers interested in exploring these
benefits, while simultaneously feeding the minds of ‘Veg-Veterans’ with an expansive
lineup: George Eisman, Registered Dietician, will address the connection between our
diets and the cancer epidemic; author, Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, promises to guide

• Sycamore seeds have wings to
help them spin away on the wind.
• Dandelion seeds have feathery

Visit with Pittsburgh Public Market
When is the last time you had the opportunity to sample
multiple varieties of local organic radishes? Where do
you go when you want guidance in selecting the perfect
oolong tea?
At Pittsburgh Public Market in the Strip District, these are
the experiences that change shopping from a chore into
an adventure.
“The Public Market is unique because all of our merchants
are doing what they love,” say Market Manager
Tiffani Emig. “And that love can’t help but come through
in the food and items they offer.”
Over 30 local small businesses make up the Public Market,
boasting local meats and produce, specialty olive
oils, prepared foods, baked goods, handmade jewelry
and bath and body products, and locally made wines and
beers.
But if you just come in as a passive shopper, you’ll be
missing out. “Take advantage of the vast knowledge that
our merchants have about their product,” Emig recommends.
“As a country, we’ve become so separated from
our food and the products we buy that we forget that human
hands have been involved in creating them all. The
Market is a chance to regain that human connection.”
So stop in, shop, eat, and talk to the merchants. Ask the
winery how grapes grow in Pennsylvania. Ask a farmer
how to prepare the celeriac or giant beets that you’ve
been eyeing up. You’ll leave feeling more connected to
the community and more knowledgeable about the items
in your bags.

The Soul’s Power in Pranic Healing
By Master Stephen Co
The Tibetan master Djwhal Khul said, “All disease is a result of inhibited
Soul Life...” The art of the healer consists of releasing the Soul, so it can
flow through the aggregate of organisms which constitute any particular
form. The true and future healing is brought about when the life of
the Soul can flow without impediment and hindrance throughout every
aspect of the form. It can then vitalize it. What this means is, the more
abundant the flow of spiritual energy (Soul Life) coming into the body
through the crown chakra, the faster the rate of healing.
“The seed cannot know what is going
to happen, the seed has never known
the flower. And the seed cannot even
believe that he has the potentiality to
become a beautiful flower. Long is the
journey, and it is always safer not to go
on that journey because unknown is the
path, nothing is guaranteed.
Nothing can be guaranteed. Thousand
and one are the hazards of the journey,
many are the pitfalls - and the seed is secure,
hidden inside a hard core. But the
seed tries, it makes an effort; it drops
the hard shell which is its security, it
starts moving. Immediately the fight
starts: the struggle with the soil, with
the stones, with the rocks. And the seed
was very hard and the sprout will be
very, very soft and dangers will be many.
There was no danger for the seed, the
seed could have survived for millennia,
but for the sprout many are the dangers.
But the sprout starts towards the
unknown, towards the sun, towards the
source of light, not knowing where, not
knowing why. Great is the cross to be
carried, but a dream possesses the seed
and the seed moves.” ~ Osho

Pa g e 8
The Soul is a spark from the universal flame, which some call God. God
puts forth this portion of Himself, which then incarnates, or takes a body,
in the lower plane, the earth. As an extension of God, our Soul is in a
state of permanent health, a state of unchanging, prolonged awareness
and peace. We may not be consciously aware of it, but we inherently
know that this state of peace resides within us.
As we seek health, success and happiness in the physical world, we
are often oblivious to how close true health, success and happiness
are, because we don’t look inward. But when we become aware of the
limitations of our physical body and the imperfections of the material
world—as we must inevitably—our innate knowledge of this inner state
of peace and health is stirred.

10 Questions
for George Noory
George Noory, host of the nationally syndicated radio program Coast
to Coast AM will be a special guest at Journey Expo Columbus 2013,
held May 4-5 at Northland Performing Arts Center.
1) Is there anyone you have modeled yourself after
in broadcasting?
No not really, but I have had some great mentors. Guy
Gibson who is deceased was a great radio news man, and
also Dick Grath, also deceased, was a former TV news
director and a great influence in my abilities.
2) What three people, living or not, would you like
to interview, and what would you ask them?
One: Jesus, how did you do it? Two: Stephen King,
how did you become so prolific? And three: Adolf Hitler,
why were you so evil?
3) Is there any one show that stands out as being
the most fascinating (or strangest) to you?
All of them, I really mean that. It’s a program that
never ever gets boring.
4) Have you ever considered running for political
office?
Yes, I was considering running for President in 2012,
but changed my mind. I am more valuable on the air.
5) What is the strangest phone call you have received
on the air?
Wow, there have been so many, but the woman that
thought all the stars had burned out I had fun with.
6) Do you believe we each have a true purpose for
life? Individually or collectively.
Probably both. In this vast universe, there is a definite
reason for our destiny.
7) If you met an undeniable extra-terrestrial, what
would you ask it?
Do you believe in God?
8) Do you believe we will survive as a species for
the next 100 years?
Yes. I think it will be a roller coaster, but we will make
it.
9) Beyond who, you have modeled yourself after in
broadcasting; who is your biggest hero?
Edward R. Murrow; he set a high standard.
10) Since part of your appearance at the Journey
Expo Columbus 2013 will be a chance to have “Dinner
with George,” what would you like to have for dinner?
Something healthy would be great.

The Gardner and
the Seed
By Tina Sacchi
Tina Sacchi will be a presenter at The Journey
Expo in Columbus, May 2013. You can register
for her Sunday workshop and harmonizing ceremony.
On Saturday, she will also facilitate a
free meditation, Connecting with Our Ascended
Masters, Guides, Angels and Light Beings.
The Gardener
When you are in the garden and pick a seed to plant,
you already have an approximate image of what the seed
will turn into. For example, if you have carrot seeds, you
already have a mental picture of a carrot.
Carrots are orange and
have lots of green leaves at
the top. You want to use them
for a salad or a stew, or maybe
to feed your pets. In order to
get a carrot you need to plant
it and nurture it for a while.
It doesn’t come right away.
There is a period of waiting.
First, you need proper
soil for the seed to grow. You
prepare and fertilize the soil
to maximize the size of the
carrot you want to grow. You
also give it space. Without
any space and room, it can’t
grow.
Then you lay it in the
ground and give it plenty
of water. It certainly can’t
survive in a barren, dried-up
environment.
You put soil over the top
and it is invisible for a while.
You don’t even know it’s there, so you mark the spot with
a carrot label, to remind yourself. And then you go about
your business, doing other things.
The Seed
The seed is below the ground in a very dark place.
It craves nourishment, attention and water each and every
day. It sits there waiting for all its basic needs to be
met so it can survive. Soon, the seed starts to change.
It opens up and a tiny sprout starts rising up. It is still in
It is bathed and nourished in the warm
sunlight. It feels the water being sprinkled
on it. In the fresh air and the sunlight,
it rejoices and grows and grows
to become a large carrot.
darkness, but reaching upward, because that’s the only
direction it can grow. It really doesn’t know if it will ever
get out of the darkness, but it keeps pushing and hoping
for something different than the darkness.
The little sprout wiggles through the dirt. It sees
a little tiny bit of light poking through the darkness.
The soil is shifting for the sprout to come out of the
dirt. At last it has surfaced and arrived into the light. It
is bathed and nourished in the warm sunlight. It feels
the water being sprinkled on it. In the fresh air and the
sunlight, it rejoices and grows and grows to become a
large carrot.
The law of manifestation is essentially the same
as the story of the gardener
and the seed. The seed is
one of your dreams. In order
for your seed (dream)
to become reality, you have
to assume the role of the
gardener. You start by visualizing
your dream first in
your mind (the image of the
carrot).
You can even create a
vision board (carrot label) or
a journal to remind yourself
of the dream. Then, give it
space to grow in your mind
and in your life. Imagine that
you are already living your
dream. Give your dream the
mind space that it needs to
sprout. (If your mind is cluttered
with many other things
not related to your dream, it
will be much harder for that
dream to sprout and become
a reality.) You can even create a physical space (such
as clearing out the garage to fit a new car).
Then, let it go (just like putting soil on the seed and
letting it sit in darkness for a little while, unseen). You
might even forget about it altogether at times, except for
the vision board reminder or the journal that you created.
At times, you can think about how nice it would be to
have your dream come true (like savoring the moment
when you’ll be able to eat a fresh handpicked carrot
from the garden).
Pa g e 12

t h e Jo u r n e y
While you’re waiting for the dream to materialize,
don’t stress too much about it. For example, you don’t
really stress about the seed becoming a carrot. Instead,
you plant it and let it go. Then, one day, you wake up
and check on your seed and you see the carrot. If you’re
not paying close attention to the soil, you might even
think that the seed became a carrot overnight, as if by
magic.
When the seed is in darkness, you never worry about
“how” it will become a carrot. In fact, it is mysterious
and magical how a seed turns into a carrot. You simply
let divine nature take care of itself and you trust that as
long as you provide space, food and water, the seed will
become a carrot.
Manifestation blocks occur when:
You don’t feed your dream. Set a time and space for
visualization and positive affirmations, preferably through
a daily meditation practice.
You don’t let go. You want to control the outcome,
which instantly blocks the dream. Can you imagine telling
a carrot seed how it needs to grow, according to your
limited set of beliefs? The carrot would die without having
the magical element of natural order and mystery. Stop
stressing and let the Universe work out how your dream
will materialize.
You don’t give your dream the mental and physical
space it needs. Get rid of all the clutter that blocks your
dream from coming true. When you meditate, clear your
mind of all the mind chatter and focus on your dream
through focused visualization. Declutter your house so
new things can fit in your house. If your mind and house
are stuffed with clutter, there is no room for anything to
materialize and grow.

The Enchanted Grove
of Spring
All it takes is the scent of
burning sweetgrass on this
otherwise bleak mid-winter
day to transport me to a
field of long grass blowing in warm
spring winds.
When I think of spring, I think of
new beginnings, new life, hope and
inspiration. This is the joyful time, the
seed time, when life bursts forth from
the earth and the chains of winter
are broken.
The Spring Equinox is the time
of balance, when light and dark are
equal and the advent of longer sunnier
days propels us to cleanse and
balance ourselves.
During the winter months we laid
dormant “with our stuff”, working
through old thought patterns, planning,
dreaming, perhaps sitting and
eating too much. Just as the force
of nature pushes out the seedlings,
so too we are pushed out of our
slumber to create new growth in our
own lives.
The Prince of the Sun stretches
out his hand and the Winter Queen
returns from the Land of the Dead,
cloaked in fresh rain, with the sweet
scent of desire on her breath.
Where they step, the wild flowers
appear. They dance and despair
turns to hope, sorrow to joy, want to
abundance.
This is the old metaphor for
spring. There are many names and
many faces, many stories to describe
the magic that lies at this turning
time of the wheel of the year. This is
the moment of perfect balance, for
night and day are equal.
Now the wheel turns toward light
and life is reborn from the belly of the
Earth. The Goddess emerges from
the underworld bearing new life in
her arms. The sun grows strong. It is
warm and the earth is green again.
We rejoice as our lives emerge
from the dream time and take their
shape. We plant the seeds of a new
harvest, for the earth is ready and the
sun is high. We might want to ask at
this time, “What is it that I need to do
to put my life back in balance?”
Bless the egg (symbol
of rebirth) and either
bury it in your garden
or leave it on your
altar until you feel it is
time to bury it in the
ground.
Now is the time to take the necessary
steps to eliminate that which
is no longer useful, that which is taking
away from personal balance and
happiness to make room for positive
change.
That may be anything such as
clutter, negative habits, negative
thinking patterns, negative people,
By Aida Faria
etc. It is the time to sweep away the
old and plant the seeds for a brighter
and healthier future.
There are a few simple and
beautiful affirmative actions that I
can share with you that we of the
Old Religions take to manifest new
and positive changes into our lives.
One is to take an egg, and with a
marker or paint, draw symbols of
what you want to bring into your life
for the upcoming season. Bless the
egg (symbol of rebirth) and either
bury it in your garden or leave it on
your altar until you feel it is time to
bury it in the ground. Decorate your
altar or table with spring flowers
and appeal to your Higher Power for
strength and guidance to make it all
come to fruition.
You can also take
some seeds, bless
them, and plant them
in pots to sprout before
replanting them in your
garden. There’s nothing
like getting your
hands in soil to neutralize
negativity and
bring you back to the
source of it all — the
power and abundance
of the Great Mother.
Above all, leave
a large space in your
hear t and soul to
dance and sing. This is our inherent
birth right. It is natural and requires
no training. Don’t worry about the
technical aspects of voice or dance
moves — just let your spirit soar,
dance and sing with abandonment
and joy and feel your chakras spin
and balance themselves out.

Put on your favorite music; go out to the park and
breathe in the fresh air; feel the earth pulse under your
feet; spread out your arms and let the four winds move
through you to free you up from self-inflicted bondage.
Above all, leave a large space in
your heart and soul to dance and
sing. This is our inherent birth
right. It is natural and requires no
training.
There is so much power in nature, so much to learn
from – all we have to do is stop long enough to listen.
Nature recharges and refuels us naturally and gently. Let
us not take our Mother for granted, especially in these
times. Honoring seasonal changes reminds us to stay
connected with the life force.
No matter what happens in our personal lives the
birds still fly, the seasons change and the geese head
home. The cycles continue.
We must continue to evolve as well. We can also mark
our growth by reflecting on how we have been blessed,
and how we have worked through problems during the
winter months. Spring is a time of fertility: fertility of the
land, consciousness and the abundance therein.
Happy Spring.

We plant seeds every moment of our lives. Some
seeds manifest faster than others. Take the oak
tree for example; once an acorn is planted it
takes 20 to 50 years before it produces its first crop of
acorns. Then another hundred years before it reaches
middle age; and if it’s lucky it can live for a thousandplus
years like the Seven Sisters Oak in Mandeville,
Louisiana.
Pa g e 18
Oak or Avocado?
Reap What You Sow
If you haven’t the patience to grow
an oak tree, an avocado tree started
from a seed only takes seven to
15 years.
All this depends on if you are the lucky acorn; only
one in 10,000 will grow up to be an oak tree. Those are
some astronomical odds.
If you’re planting acorns hoping to see that oak tree
grow, I’d go on with your life while you’re waiting.
In California, avocado groves run rampant in the desert
area. If you haven’t the patience to grow an oak tree,
an avocado tree started from a seed only takes seven to
15 years. For myself, I don’t have that kind of patience
(still working on that one);
I’ll just go to the store and
buy one.
Let’s look at the elephant,
once the gestational
seed is planted it takes anywhere
from 610 to 660 days
before that baby elephant
graces this planet. Thank
God I’m not an elephant; the
266 days from conception
to birth with my daughters
was long enough. However,
what about our thoughts;
can they manifest at the
speed of light? I guess that
depends if you’re the Dalai
Lama or Jesus Christ reincarnated.
Most of us are familiar
with the Law of Attraction:
Like begets like. It’s the
epitome of the seed you
reap having everything to
do with what you sow – as
in the earlier examples of the

avocado seed and the acorn.
The Law of Attraction is like that law of physics: For
every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction (or
reflection). Every action you take is met in kind. We are
vibrating atoms, neutrons and molecules walking around
in a suit called skin.
In Wayne Dyer’s book There’s A Spiritual Solution for
Every Problem, he discusses frequencies and transitioning
from solid frequencies to the intermediate dimensions of
sound. From sound, we move into the higher frequencies
of light and ultimately to spirit.
Dr. David A. Hawkins came up with a system to measure
these cellular frequencies – or vibrations – known
as the Hawkins scale. Studies have identified the normal
healthy range of the human body is 62-68 Hertz.
Studies show individuals with a common cold had
a cellular frequency of 58Hz or less; for flu it was 57 Hz
or less; for Epstein Barr virus it was 52 Hz. Everyone
measured that had some form of cancer had a cellular
frequency of 42 Hz or less. Clearly, high frequency cells
correspond with better health and ideally everyone should
strive for a frequency of at least 62 Hz.
In our own pursuit of enlightenment, we are trying
to raise our “vibe-o-meters.” How this is achieved varies
t h e Jo u r n e y
from one individual to the next. We can start with our
thoughts, which are constantly, continuously planting
seeds in our garden of life whether we acknowledge it
or not.
At work, I cook for the veterans and the homeless in
San Diego North County. Just about every day, there’s
an ingredient, a spice, a broth, or maybe even a certain
vegetable that I need to complete my meals. Out of
nowhere, in walks a donation with exactly what I had
“planted” that I needed. I am planting seeds every time
I open my mouth; we all are.
That’s why it’s so important to keep the Doberman
at the door of our minds, and the Pit Bull guarding our
mouths – only letting in and out what we want to see in
our world. Our mind is the most powerful thing we have.
That’s what kept Viktor Frankl, a Holocaust survivor,
alive: “Everything can be taken away from a man but
one thing,” he says: “The last of the human freedoms – to
choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances,
to choose one’s own way.”
There are countless ways to raise your vibrations,
thus enhancing your seed planting abilities to keep that
garden of yours filled with everything God intended:
health, wealth and happiness.
Watching your thoughts is just the beginning. Spending
time in meditation, nature, eating whole foods, listening
to high vibrational music and becoming actively
involved in the healing arts represent a sampling. Keeping
an attitude of gratitude has a domino effect in raising
our vibrations, and forgiveness is the crucial ingredient
necessary in keeping that garden free of weeds.
Once you’ve raised your vibration, the challenge is
keeping it there in a world filled with so much tragedy,
negativity, toxicity and hate. Even Christ – who was surrounded
by the 12 disciples, spent time with the poor and
the sick and dealt with the politicians – had to take time
off to go into the desert, fast and meditate.
That’s why you and only you can make a difference
in your world. The point of high frequency isn’t just for
personal transformation. Your vibes have an effect on
everyone you encounter, raising the consciousness of
all those you touch with your energy field.
I gave up television in 1989 when my daughter
Shayna was born, and there’s not a day that goes by
that I regret that decision. In those 23 years, I haven’t
watched the news or read a newspaper, and from what I
gather, I haven’t missed other than a whole lot of violence
and disasters.
Putting your energy on that type of negativity only
lowers your vibration, along with your surrounding environment.
You are planting seeds each and every moment.
Only you can decide: Do you want to grow an avocado
tree or the mighty oak?

The Roots of
a Self-Satisfied Life
By Dr Lorri A Lankiewicz
o you ever find yourself remembering moments
in life where a seed was planted, yet you did not
actually realize it until the seed began to bloom? In
other words, are you now able to look back in time and
say: “Wow, I did not realize how important that meeting or
moment or person was to my growth in life until now?”
We are all gardeners when it comes to planting
seeds for our own growth and the growth of others. Life
presents us with many “aha” moments that may or may
not germinate into us remembering our “soul” purpose
for living. However, each “aha” is planted with the possibility
of blooming into a gift or talent that helps us to
remember our “contract” or “purpose.” As we remember
our “soul” purpose for living and actually begin to own
and live it, we effectively help to raise the vibrational
level in the universe.
At a very young age, seeds were
planted as I was placed in numerous
situations where I was a caregiver.
These situations made me
aware of the gift of being able to
assist others, both physically and
emotionally, to return to a path of
health.
I am able to recall numerous moments when someone
or something helped me to turn in the direction of
remembering my purpose. At a very young age, seeds
were planted as I was placed in numerous situations
where I was a caregiver. These situations made me aware
of the gift of being able to assist others, both physically
and emotionally, to return to a path of health.
I then sustained an injury to my ankle and needed
physical therapy. While in the therapy clinic I had an
“aha” moment and felt called to move toward the physical
therapy profession. After some research, I decided
to earn a bachelors degree in sports medicine/athletic
training, which then led to both a Master’s and doctoral
degree in physical therapy.
After receiving my Master’s degree, many seeds were
planted that eventually bloomed into me holding different
positions as a physical therapist. I quickly rose through
Ma r c h • Ap r i l 2013
the channels at different health care systems from staff
physical therapist, to manager of one clinic, to manager
of the rehab department of a large home health agency
and, as I was being primed to move into hospital upper
management, a new seed fell into the soil and I decided
to return home to my roots to allow it to germinate.
As I was working my way through corporate health
care, I realized a void in my being that was begging to
be filled. I needed to heal wounds that continued to fester
from earlier years in my life. As I embarked on this journey
and stripped myself of the comforts of a healthy salary,
a long term relationship, a home and a lot of “stuff,” I
realized that the only way to fully heal was to take steps
to blend my mind, body and spirit. Through intense work
consisting of energy medicine, coaching, writing, yoga
and other modalities, seedlings began to sprout and the
promise of beautiful blooms was on
the horizon.
I began to offer body work in
the form of massage, chakra energy
healing sessions and “hands-on”
physical therapy sessions. During
this time, numerous people planted
in me

seeds of

he art of thought technology and the practice
of creating your reality through intentions and
prayer is an exciting new world. We have Louise
Hay, Abraham-Hicks, Dr. Michael Beckwith,
TMarianne Williamson and many others to thank for this
brilliant technology.
You reap what you sow. As you think, so shall you
become. Americans are waking up to the realization of
their own inner power.
To see your prayers manifest is something quite
miraculous. To watch your day flow according to your
morning intentions is an aha moment – yes, your thoughts
really do attract other thoughts just like it.
More of the same, like attracts like, birds of a feather
flock together, and qualities of thought attract more
thoughts just like it. Things come in groups of threes,
some people say. That’s true, and they also come in
fours, fives and sixes. It’s an endless stream in a certain
direction, and you guide the direction it flows.

A bad day gets worse because you continue affirming
I got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning. A
good day gets better because you feel I’m sitting on top
of the world. Do you know the song from Mary Poppins:
Just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down…
in the most delightful way? Sing it out loud; I guarantee
a mood change.
Creating intention is a process of allowing yourself to
consciously dream. What would my ideal business client
look like? What would my perfect lover do?
My friends do vision boards on a regular basis, creating
physical manifestations of their dreams by making
collages of pictures and text cut from magazine clippings.
They really work.
Offering yourself encouragement and support with
affirmations like, It’s all unfolding perfectly and I’m finding
exactly what I need to take the next step on my path
is the icing on the cake – one part conscious dreaming,
two parts encouragement and enthusiasm.
When you start attracting thoughts that fit your highest
hopes and dreams, it feels good. You attract more and
more like-minded energy. If you are musically inclined
like I am, you may find certain songs coming up on the
radio or notice a lyric or song while shopping in a store.
You may even find yourself singing along to an imaginary
soundtrack in your head.
Your subconscious finds examples of what you are
thinking and believing to be true and reflects them back
to you.
Let it be. Let it be. Let it be, yeah, let it be. Speaking
words of wisdom, let it be…
Our songwriters sing about our experiences, bringing
us lyrics to describe this or that emotion or realization.
When the message comes in a song, it is more likely to be
repeated over and over in your head. A beautiful melody
allows a message to penetrate your consciousness and
repeat. When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother
Mary comes to me... Speaking words of wisdom, let it
be… The song gets “stuck” in your head and you repeat
the melody and lyrics, the message stays with you.

March: New Moon in Pisces, March 11, 3:51 p.m.; Full Moon in Libra, April 27, 5:27 a.m.
April: New Moon in Aries, April 10, 5:35 a.m.; Full Moon in Scorpio, April 25, 3:57 p.m.
Mercury Retrograde: Currently Retrograde; Direct on March 17, 4:03 p.m.
Spring Equinox: March 20, 7:02 a.m.
ARIES
March – With the Spring Equinox in the sign of the
Ram, it’s time to connect with Mother Nature, get your
feet grounded in that good old-fashioned dirt and cool
that fire of yours, because mid-month Venus and Mars
are throwing a party in the Ram’s honor…then you can
show off with your Ball O’ Fire.
April – All that groundedness did the Ram some good.
Mercury moves into your sign mid-month; now it’s time
to get the gears moving in that brain of yours and march
forward with all the confidence and leadership the Ram
has to offer. It’s OK to feel secure…good things are happening,
don’t quit three feet from gold.
TAURUS
March – The Bull has planted the seeds of manifestation;
don’t get discouraged just because you aren’t seeing
immediate gratification…the Bull has the patience of a
Saint. Get outside in nature; spring has arrived. If those
fear thoughts start creeping into that Bull pen, just smell
the roses and look around you.
April – The Bull is back; you’re beginning to feel like
your old self again, ready to bust out of that pen. You
don’t need a red cape…big changes are headed your way,
the Sun, Venus and Mars are headed over to the Bullpen
bringing plenty of sunshine, romance and action. Put on
your Sunday best.
GEMINI
March – Too much St. Patty’s Day? Time to detox –
clean up your mind, body and soul…the twins doubled
their pleasure and doubled their fun…Jupiter is still in
your sign, you’ve got to watch your excess. Get back to
basics, clear any leftover negativity…while you’re at it,
double up on the water, not the whiskey.
April – Now that you’ve cleaned up your act, it’s safe
for your Inner Child to come out and play. Get away from
all that business; your inner child is the home for your
creativity…just take it easy on her/him…get out and have
some fun, the Twins are famous for socializing.
CANCER
March – Positive changes are coming to you from
Cancers so much joy; family is everything to the Crab…
Let the love in and your home life will bring much awaited
joy. No need to hide in that shell of yours this month,
share the love.
April – It’s time to get a fresh perspective on things.
If there’s a problem that’s been on the Crab’s mind, go to
a different spot and view it from another angle; it’s time
for a spiritual solution…Rise above, quit approaching
everything sideways, give it to Heaven’s hands and relax,
answers are on their way.
LEO
March – The Lion is reigning King/Queen this month
in that jungle of yours…Show off your mane, appreciate
and radiate your natural confidence and inner and outer
beauty this month…People want to be around you.
April – Now that the entire jungle has seen your
beauty, your dreams are transitioning from thought to
etheric form. Release fears and judgments so as not to
sabotage your success…Keep the faith, know that you
are indeed deserving of all the abundance the Universe
has for you. After all, there are lots of jungle mates to
share with.
VIRGO
March – It’s your movie and you’ve created a happily
ever after ending…Sticky situations are miraculously
resolved, mistakes are forgotten, misunderstandings are
forgiven. Quit analyzing everything to death, get outside
of yourself, go to the woods or the lake and stop worrying
about your future. Thoughts become things.
April – Make Peace of Mind your highest priority this
month, after all…you do want to keep on that roll you’re
on, don’t you? Be honest with yourself, avoid toxic foods,
situations and people…Turn off the TV, go for a walk and
say no when you need to…peace of mind is yours for
the taking.
LIBRA
March – Quit wavering, it’s time to get crystal clear…
Visualization is your theme this month; go ahead and
plant those seeds, quit second-guessing everything…
Know that your clairvoyance tendencies are actually
the Crab’s abode. It’s those little Crabettes that bring the there. Enjoy seeing into the future…with great clarity,

those scales can weigh it all out later.
April – Wow, Libra, you visualized yourself right up
that spiritual ladder, didn’t you? Keep at it, your consciousness
is raising, your thoughts, dreams and inspirations
are real…your attempts are validated. Keep having those
conversations with God, quiet your mind, go into nature
so you can continue to hear that still small voice.
SCORPIO
March – Come out of the darkness. It’s OK to bring
the light in; you won’t die if you expose yourself to the
dawn…Just because Scorpio is the sign of the Underworld
doesn’t mean you need to stay underground…It’s
time for a major overhaul. Let go of harmful energies
and destructive habits, get outside and let the light shine
around you.
April – All that light did you some good. LOVE is in
the air. Pull back that stinger of yours, release your fears
about giving and receiving…Whether it’s a new romance
or the rekindling of an old flame, no one does passion
like the Scorpion.
SAGITTARIUS
March – The Centaur is ready for a breakthrough.
Don’t worry about the how; it’s being healed behind the
scenes…God knows what He’s doing. Stay focused and
you’ll see that all that worry is for naught. Raise your faith
and your consciousness.
April – Are you being dishonest with yourself? The
Centaur needn’t make any radical changes or have a major
confrontation, but the Universe is asking you to take a
long look in the mirror and ask: Where are you not being
true to you…? Go outside, have a talk with the elements
of nature; they’ll help you see what’s hidden.
April – The kite flying paid off. You’re making new
friends, something that comes easily to the Aquarian.
You’re shifting to a higher frequency and raising your
vibration, all those friendship seeds you planted are starting
to sprout…Old friends come and go, your changing
interests have created a ripple effect, you’re drawing
like-minded people to you.
PISCES
March – Wow, there’s a major party in the fish’s
pond…the Sun, Venus, Mercury and Mars have all decided
to go for a swim in your little pond, not to mention
Mercury’s been Retrograde all month, (direct on the
17 th ). It’s time to leave them there, swim on over to a
bigger lake, do some laps, get a fresh perspective, then
let the waves settle.
April – Be honest with yourself Fish, no room to
be wishy-washy now…We know the Fish is just a bit
confused, not knowing if it’s swimming upstream or
downstream. Make your decisions based on your true
feelings, stand your ground, don’t let outside influences
cause you to waver. Speak your truth.

March – Take your Goat self right up the mountain
path and look at that problem from a higher plane of
consciousness…Rise above, try another avenue that you
may have just overlooked, and above all, throw that cautious
Capricornian self of yours right out the window…
come out of the box now the grass looks greener.
April – Now that you’ve had a chance to look at all
angles, things are looking up. You can come down from
the mountain and release any skepticism the Goat may
have, keep up your hopes and dreams. The miracle is
about to appear.
AQUARIUS
March – You’ve been planting seeds of manifestation,
and no one is as creative as the Aquarian…Don’t
get disheartened, patience my dear; these things take
time…Hold on to your faith, get outside and fly a kite,
let your dreams lift with the wind, knowing that Heaven
has already answered.

Dear Eva:
I’ve recently started working with my spirituality and the
idea of a higher power, God or Spirit. I am a bit confused on
the process. What if I feel no one is listening to me?
–Searching
Dear Searching:
Mankind has been searching for answers from God since
the beginning of time, whenever that is. I can tell you this:
Your search, your thoughts, your answers are individual to
you.
I am not here to convince anyone that there is a higher
power, but for me, I look out at this beautiful, magnificent
planet and think how could there not be. Yes, there are the
atrocities and tragedies; these are caused by mankind, not
God.
Here are a few ideas I’m going to throw out there for
you to ponder:
Remember you are Spirit, nothing “out there” can hurt
you, and you are free from all of this. Everything is just
an experience. There is only love and fear. Come from a
place of love in all you do and you will be headed on the
right path.
Let go. I’m sure you’ve heard this a zillion times, but
there’s a reason those two little words are said so often:
They have power. Let go, it’s OK to feel totally helpless; it’s
in the surrender that the answers come.
Don’t ask why or when, simply ask: “What makes me
resist the truth?” Sit in silence, complete silence, listening
to your breath, not searching for anything, just listening.
Ask God, or whomever you’re speaking with, to grant
you guiding light. This prayer is always answered, although
some may not be ready to hear it.
Don’t fight the pain and suffering; it will only increase in
intensity. When in the midst of the storm, send out an S.O.S.
(Spotlight on Storm). Shine the light on the storm. You are
not part of it; remain in the calm of your true self.
I will send light your way. Know that God does hear our
calls for help. Sit with it and your rainbow will appear in front
of your very eyes as the storm dissipates.

achiever. How does one know when to just throw in the
towel? I am not one to quit on anything I undertake, but if
I’m banging my head up against the wall and the only thing
I’m getting is a headache it just doesn’t seem right. How do
I know when it’s time to quit or switch course?
– Stop the Madness
Dear Stop the Madness:
Wow, reading your letter I felt like I was looking in a
mirror. I myself have been plagued by the crazy insanity
of it all. In my travels, studies and years on Mother Earth
I can tell you this: Life Was Never Meant To Be a Struggle
(Stuart Wilde).
I have come to understand that everything just came
to me. Yes, I can look back on the great jobs, the beautiful
homes on the lake, the soulmate relationships – and they
all came without effort on my part.
Life is a river and when we go with the flow things just
naturally show up at the right time. If we are constantly trying
to paddle upstream with all our might, and not getting
anywhere, then maybe, just maybe, it’s time to let go of
the oars and let the boat turn itself around and flow merrily,
merrily gently down the stream.
Yes, this seems easier said than done. But in reality, it
is one of the easiest things you will ever do.
Let go of the need to control the outcome. In your
goal setting it’s OK to be specific about what you want to
achieve, but how it comes to you is none of your business.
That is up to God.
So remove yourself from the attachment to the outcome
and, wow, wait until you see what the Creator has in store
for you.
When I first moved to California, I had wanted to volunteer
at this organization that helped young adults get their
lives back together. Since I had decades of experience in
this type of work, I thought I’d be perfect.
I can’t even begin to tell you how many missed emails,
phone calls, connections, etc. kept happening. I even attended
a couple of orientations and filled out extensive
paperwork. One day I thought, “It shouldn’t be this difficult.”
I mean, we’re talking volunteering. I gave up, and a couple
years later I fell into volunteering for an organization that
feeds the homeless and veterans. I am now employed there
as the main chef and loving it.

Keep asking, praying, going in the silence, following
your gut, watching for the signs and by all means
go with the flow. If the river stops flowing, get out,
abandon ship and find another river.

Music is a perfect way to repeat positive thought. And
we do want to repeat the good stuff. Find some positive
playlists and hit infinite repeat.
And by the way, ad campaigns do this too, introducing
sing-song slogans like Things go better with Coke and I
wish I were an Oscar Meyer Wiener.
The point is, if an ad can hook you musically, you’ll
repeat the slogan in your head long after the ad campaign
is over.
Music is a perfect way to repeat
positive thought. And we do want to
repeat the good stuff. Find some positive
playlists and hit infinite repeat.
This is true for mantras as well – you’ll repeat the
mantra in your head long after meditation practice ends.
I often tell people if I don’t hear a mantra circulating
in my head, I know I haven’t done enough meditation
practice.
A hit song is usually about something that strikes
a chord in our collective consciousness. John Mayer’s
Waiting on the World to Change… Queen’s We Are The
Champions… Michael Jackson’s A,B,C … play it, sing it,
move to it. Have fun already.
Let the seeds of intention be carried by music. It’s
such an easy way to keep a positive stream of thoughts
in your system. If you can find music to match your
mood, you can sustain, feel and expand it. The Universe
is working with you on this.
If you’re in the dumps, you’ll naturally find songs
to match your mood. There are plenty of sad songs to
choose from, so find a song that truly matches your experience.
Listen to it, cry to it, contemplate the situation.
Once you’ve felt it and acknowledged it, you can start
to release and transform it.
The best way to rebuild negative thought patterns, in
my opinion, is through mantra chanting or affirmative lyrics.
It doesn’t indicate specifically where your life should
go or how you should be – it simply offers an infinite
energy for you to hang out in. It points you in the right
direction. The Agape International Spiritual Center, led
by Dr. Michael Beckwith and Dr. Ricky Byars Beckwith
(www.agapelive.com) uses amazing affirmative lyrics in
their songs. As you immerse yourself in infinite possibility,
you automatically find a higher vibration and a better
view from which to navigate your life.

However, once those seeds were planted, the growth
was in motion and a business was born.
Over the last 12 years, seeds have germinated and
new ones have been planted. The company was created
to be a bridge between Eastern and Western medicine and
I will say that this year that bridge is in full bloom with a
compilation of mind, body and spirit offerings.
The last few years have allowed me to share a seed
that bloomed very early in my life’s journey, but that I
have placed on a shelf more than once.
During my developmental years, I wrote numerous
poems and prose and was selected as the editor of our
high school newspaper. I was given numerous writing
journals as gifts with inscriptions that over the years have
served as a reminder to write. I won writing awards and
have been complimented time and again on my writing
ability.
The little girl in me could not
imagine being a business owner
because I did not have formal
business training. However, once
those seeds were planted, the
growth was in motion and a business
was born.
Interestingly, I have only recently begun to call myself
a writer. In full bloom, those seeds have developed into
the creation of over 52 self-help blogs. This current piece
feels like the beginning of many that will seek and find
numerous publications.
Finally, I have recently been able to share my gift
of personal coaching and motivational public speaking.
I chuckle as I remember being a sophomore in college
terrified to speak in class. During “Philosophy of Sport,” I
excelled in writing papers, but because of low self-esteem,
I could not bring myself to share in class.
The professor did all but beg me to speak, alas to no
avail. Now, when on a stage, I feel as if I am floating and
living in what I believe to be my “soul” purpose: utilizing
every experience that has led me to gain knowledge,
insight, wisdom and “success” to assist others in remembering
their “Soul” purpose for living.
