We understand that every dollar you give to United Way of Pierce County is an investment in our community.
Due to the power of United Way as a collaborative leader, we are able to do so much more to leverage the investment
We Do This Through:
Convening
We lead discussions and efforts to help solve the toughest issues.
Advocacy
We recognize that philanthropy only provides a fraction of the funds needed to resolve social issues.
Programs
We administer vital community-wide programs like South Sound 2-1-1.
Volunteer Center
The United Way Volunteer Center connects over 2,500 volunteers annually with agencies needing extra help,
allowing them to stretch their financial and human resources.
Grantwriting
Although we are a funder, we also seek funding for larger coalitions and systems-wide efforts
like First 5 FUNdamentals for Early Learning.
