TRAINING CALENDAR 2012-2013 Message LGED is a public sector organization for performing inter-related and complementary functions of developing, maintaining and managing rural, urban and small scale water resource infrastructures by ensuring of Local Government Institutions (LGI) and community and taking care of environmental and social issues. To apply the above principle, LGED gives utmost importance to staff development through training since long. An institutional shape has been given to training establishing Central Training Unit (CTU) at HQ and 14 decentralized Regional Training Centres (RTC) at regions. Training need assessment (TNA), training management system (TMS) software, course material development, implementation of training courses, yearly training calendar are some key result areas for the Training Unit. Yearly training plan which includes all training courses to be implemented under revenue and project fund for the financial year 2012-13 and achievement status for the last year, 2011-12 helps a lot for systematic approach in capacity building of LGED staffs. I strongly believe that continuous training program will increase knowledge, skill and attitude of employees which ultimately improve standard of infrastructures and social services. I sincerely appreciate the effort of Training Unit to prepare the Training Calendar, 2012-13 and I believe that it will be a guiding tool for capacity development programme of LGED. Md.
