Tenderers to Note:<br />

1) The manufacturer should have complete testing facilities as per IS: 10500/1991 with<br />

up to date amendments for clean <strong>water</strong> testing.<br />

2) The manufacturer shall have to install the <strong>Stand</strong> <strong>Alone</strong> <strong>drinking</strong> <strong>water</strong> <strong>purification</strong><br />

<strong>system</strong> with existing pipe line connection on either side of the <strong>purification</strong> unit<br />

including required plumbing and connections with the <strong>system</strong>.<br />

3) The capacity of the <strong>purification</strong> <strong>system</strong> shall be the capacity of treated product <strong>water</strong><br />

in Liters per hour (LPH).<br />

4) The raw <strong>water</strong> treatment through ultraviolet radiation & ultra filtration may contain<br />

physical impurity ranging between 5 to 10 NTU.<br />

5) The treated <strong>water</strong> from the <strong>purification</strong> <strong>system</strong> shall be free from bacteria/viruses.<br />

6) The Manufacture shall ensure that the <strong>Stand</strong> <strong>Alone</strong> <strong>drinking</strong> <strong>water</strong> <strong>purification</strong> <strong>system</strong><br />

based on specified technology should not pose any threat/danger to the life of school<br />

children and school authorities.<br />

7) The Manufacture shall have to train the school teachers thoroughly for smooth<br />

operation of the <strong>system</strong> and day to day routine maintenance.<br />

8) The Product <strong>water</strong> quality shall be tested in Public Health Engineering Laboratories<br />

of Chhattisgarh at district level located at various places in the State. The <strong>water</strong><br />

quality must confirm as per IS : 10500 /1991 with upto amendment.<br />

9) The materials shall be pre-dispatch inspected by the area concerned Director<br />

Quality Assurance of DGS&D.


2. WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:-<br />

2.1 Scope of the Supplier:-<br />

I. The supplier shall have to install the stand alone <strong>drinking</strong> <strong>water</strong> <strong>purification</strong> <strong>system</strong><br />

with existing pipe line connection on either side of the <strong>purification</strong> unit including<br />

required plumbing and connections with the <strong>system</strong>.<br />

II. The technical specification of each component of <strong>purification</strong> <strong>system</strong> shall be as<br />

under this document.<br />

III The manufacturers have to provide a comprehensive services contract for the<br />

<strong>purification</strong> of the <strong>system</strong> continuously for 5 years from the date of installation and<br />

commission.<br />

IV. During comprehensive services contract of 5 years the suppliers shall ensure a<br />

minimum 4 services in a year and replacement of any parts of the <strong>purification</strong> <strong>system</strong><br />

through out the service contract. At the time of every service the micro cartridge filter<br />

as well as activated carbon filter shall be changed invariably with a new one. If<br />

necessary on request from the school/village PHED/gram Panchayat, the supplier<br />

shall immediately attend the mal-functioning non-functioning of the <strong>system</strong> and<br />

repair/replace the parts and ensure that the <strong>system</strong> is put in to efficient working<br />

condition with in 5 days.<br />

Product Water quality test:- The Product <strong>water</strong> quality shall be tested in<br />

Public Health Engineering laboratories of Chhattisgarh at district level approved<br />

laboratories located at various places in the State. The report of chemical and<br />

bacteriological examination from the laboratories shall be treated as final. The <strong>water</strong><br />

quality must confirm as per standards as prescribed under this documents. Water<br />

quality will be evaluated with maximum interval of 30 days in first 6 months and then<br />

60 days at PHED cost and <strong>system</strong> should perform consistently. In case of failure of<br />

sample, supplier should rectify it in 5 days failing which a penalty of Rs. 100.00 per<br />

day would be imposed.<br />

Comprehensive services contract for five years:-<br />

1. It will be obligatory for the supplier to see that the <strong>system</strong> is in proper operation for<br />

all the time. The supplier may make arrangement of a toll free telephone for lodging<br />

the complaint the village level committee to the supplier fort rectification of the<br />

<strong>system</strong>.<br />

2. During service contract the manufacturer shall carry out necessary servicing of the<br />

<strong>system</strong> once in 3 months, including repairs replacements if required.<br />

3. The <strong>system</strong>s has to made functional on the visit day itself even if it means temporary<br />

replacement of any part.
