1. The event shall be conducted in accordance with the Constitution,<br />

the following by-laws and FIFA rules as they apply in the year<br />

of competition.<br />

2. In the case of conflict between the adopted rules and the Constitution<br />

or the <strong>Sport</strong>ing By-Laws, the Constitution and <strong>Sport</strong>ing By-Laws shall<br />

have over-riding authority.<br />

3. The following additional rules are to be adhered to:<br />

3.1 Each game shall consist of 2 x 30 min halves fully timed;<br />

3.2 In the event of a drawn game, 2 x extra halves of 10 mins shall<br />

be played under ‘golden goal’ conditions. If no goal is scored<br />

in such extra time, a penalty shoot-out (consisting of 5 shots for<br />

each team followed by a ‘sudden death’ shoot-out in the event<br />

of scores remaining tied) will decide the result; and<br />

3.3 A maximum of 3 x player substitutions can be used per<br />

game, inclusive of extra time.<br />

POINT SCORING<br />

1. To determine the final result of the competition, the following points<br />

shall be awarded for each fixture.<br />

1.1. A College winning outright in ordinary or extra time shall receive<br />

3 points<br />

1.2. A College winning on a penalty shoot-out shall receive 2 points<br />

1.3. A College losing on a penalty shoot-out shall receive 1 point<br />

1.4. A College losing outright in ordinary or extra time shall receive<br />

0 points<br />

2. The final placings shall be awarded according to the aggregate<br />

of points accumulated by each College.<br />

ADDITIONAL RULES<br />

1. Each competing team MUST provide a scorekeeper for<br />

their games.<br />

2. All teams should be at the venue at least fifteen minutes prior<br />

to their scheduled starting game time.<br />

3. Shin pads and safety gear is advised.<br />

4. Match balls will be supplied by Wesley/Women’s for each<br />

game which MUST be returned to the referee or score bench<br />

at the conclusion of every game.<br />

Injuries/accidents/incidents: Please report all injuries/accidents/<br />

incidents to the SUSF staff member or convenor at the event. A first<br />

aid kit and ice will be available. In the event of a serious injury/incident,<br />

please notify the SUSF staff member or convenor at the event and/or<br />

an Inte6thrcol Committee rep, college sports rep, or head of<br />

college immediately.<br />

Alcohol policy: The incidental service of beer to spectators at<br />

Rawson/Rosebowl events on St Paul’s Oval is non-contentious in<br />

the context of the wider observance of the Intercol Policies on<br />

crowd conduct and anti-harassment and on any matter that may<br />

bring Colleges of the <strong>University</strong> into disrepute. Intercol and Students’<br />

Club representatives of each college are responsible for the serving<br />

of alcohol to members of their colleges, the behaviour of those<br />

college members to whom alcohol has been served and ensuring<br />

compliance with the following restrictions:<br />

• Individual spectators may NOT bring their own alcohol - instead,<br />

Intercol and Students’ Club representatives ONLY may bring<br />

alcohol to each event;<br />

• There is to be a single designated point of service for each college<br />

participating in a given match, to be clearly marked and situated<br />

well away from college administration offices and at the direction<br />

of the host College officer or as pre-arranged;<br />

• Service of alcohol must conform to RSA guidelines;<br />

• Alcohol provided is to be limited to beer in cans;<br />

• Glass bottles/containers are strictly prohibited;<br />

• Service must cease on instruction from an Officer of the host<br />

College; and<br />

• A prompt clean-up of spectator areas is a condition of ground use.<br />

The host venue reserves the right to cease/deny all service of alcohol<br />

at any time if deemed necessary.<br />

Spectators: Please remain within the given spectator’s area to ensure<br />

your own safety, as well as that of players and event staff/officials.<br />

Parking: No parking is available on-site for spectators at Oval 2.<br />

Cars may be used to deliver portable supplies before/after games.<br />

Rubbish: All colleges must ensure that the venue is cleared of all<br />

rubbish on departure from the premises.<br />

Conduct: All players and spectators are expected to abide by the<br />

Intercol code of conduct and <strong>Sydney</strong> Uni <strong>Sport</strong> & Fitness code of<br />

conduct. Misconduct will not be tolerated and offending persons<br />

may be asked to leave the venue immediately and disciplinary<br />

action will follow.<br />
