mineable diamonds). The largest of these is called Abigail and has an

estimated

100 million tonnes of mineable ore, yielding 0.035 carats of diamonds

per tonne of ore. The second largest mine, Bonang, has an estimated 85

million tonnes of mineable ore, yielding 0.04 carats of diamonds per

tonne of ore. The third largest mine, Chilume, has an estimated 10

million tonnes of mineable ore, yielding 0.07 carats of diamonds per

tonne of ore. The mine needs to produce 7 000 carats of diamonds per

month. It wants to mine all three ore bodies at the same time in such a
