Trade Finance<br />
<strong>Raiffeisen</strong> <strong>Bank</strong> <strong>Kosovo</strong> facilitates and finances a significant volume of Domestic and International<br />
Trade by providing Trade Finance Products. During 2009 the value of incoming and outgoing<br />
Trade Finance Products was €41.34 million.<br />

As shown in the figures below, the outstanding amount of Trade Finance Products at the end of<br />
year 2009 was €26.76 million.<br />
Organisation and Process Management<br />
For Process Management 2009 was characterized by expansion in the area of Cost & Productivity<br />
Management. Functional KPIs for Branches and the Operations Department have been developed<br />
at the <strong>Bank</strong> level. The same trend is continuing with other departments. These tools help senior<br />
management, Branch and Sub-Branch Managers and other stakeholders to manager capacities<br />
in place. In addition, the tools provide statistical analysis to identify the functions/processes<br />
that may be subject to improvements and made leaner in the future. In addition to 6 Sigma<br />
methodology, Lean 6 Sigma was deployed in <strong>Raiffeisen</strong> <strong>Bank</strong> <strong>Kosovo</strong> with the aim of streamlining<br />
processes and further increasing efficiency. During the year, 99 staff members attended in-house<br />
6 sigma awareness training. These courses were designed and conducted in-house., The total<br />
savings from 6 sigma Projects and other Productivity Initiatives for the 2009 operating year were<br />
€1,194,000.00.<br />
In 2009, Organization Management further expanded its functionality. Throughout the year,<br />
Organization Management was engaged in the Standard Unit Cost Project. With this project<br />
<strong>Raiffeisen</strong> <strong>Bank</strong> <strong>Kosovo</strong> analyses the costs for the main products of the <strong>Bank</strong>. The Processes and<br />
Sub-Processes of strategic products were mapped and measured. By combining unit OPEX cost<br />
and process and sub-process measurements, the <strong>Bank</strong> is able to identify value creation product<br />
processes as well as high cost product processes.<br />
