Sopranos
The Ten Sopranos are a combination of
classical and contemporary singers who
deliver a varied repertoire of operatic
favourites and well chosen popular songs, in
what many consider to be a spine-tingling
fashion.
The vocal magic of this act is setting the
nation on fire, stealing the hearts and souls
of the Australian public wherever they
appear on stage, with a mesmerising vocal
presentation unrivalled in today’s world of
entertainment.
The strength of this act is the meticulous
detail spent on every note sung.
Nessun Dorma and La Donna Mobile, are
handled with perfection, and augmented
with subtle new harmonies, while John Denver’s Aye Calypso and Peter Allen’s Don’t Cry Out
Loud are ‘re-arranged’ and deliver a haunting and emotional experience through the sensitive
vocal treatments. Not a dry eye in the house after the haunting rendition of Oh, Danny Boy.
Award-winning lead vocalist, Penny Pavlakis has worked with the biggest names in the
world including Secret Garden, Baz Luhrman, Tommy Tycho, Dame Joan Sutherland and
Richard Bonynge, to name a few.
