SCD122U Software Manual 2.6 Guidelines for Using the SCD122U Printer Driver • There is no need to set page margins when using the SCD122U printer driver. Please set all margins to 0. 2.6.1 Precautions and Limitations • The driver may not operate correctly if the dipswitches on the customer display are set inappropriately. Unless your user documentation specifically asks you to change the switch settings, please leave the switches in their factoryset positions. • The device's control font is for control purposes only and cannot be used to display characters. To show characters on the display, be sure to select a device font other than the control font. — 24 —

SCD122U Software Manual 3. OPOS Driver The OPOS driver runs on Windows 2000, XP, and 32-bit Vista. The driver can be used to set up and check the use of the SCD122U customer display within an OPOS environment. 3.1 OPOS Driver Settings To open the driver setup window, proceed as follows. ■ On Windows 2000 (SP3 or higher) or XP: From the Start menu, select All Programs à StarMicronics à OPOS Line Display Register. ■ On Windows Vista: From the Start menu, select All Programs → StarMicronics, right-click OPOS Line Display Register, and select Run as administrator. The following dialog appears. The left list box lists the model names of the customer displays available for setup. To set up the display, select it in the left box and click the [Reg->] button. If you check the Control Object checkbox, Star control objects will be registered as the device is set up. — 25 —
