CONSERVANCY NEWS Fall 2002 Volunteers Provide Invaluable Assistance The Conservancy would not be the success it is today without the invaluable assistance of our many volunteers. Through their efforts, we have been able to protect thousands of acres of land in Columbia County, while offering free environmental education programs to more than 2,000 children and adults so far this year. Our volunteers assist us with fundraising events, outdoor programs, trail improvements, and membership mailings, as well as provide professional services, including legal and land transaction assistance, and biological inventories. Please join us in thanking them for giving the gift of their time and talents. (This list includes only those volunteers who assisted CLC from April 5 to October 4, 2002.) ❧ Conservancy Supporters Tony Colyer-Pendás Scouts from Troop 102, Twin Rivers Council, lend a hand by creating water bars at the Drowned Lands Swamp Conservation Area in Ancram.
