Hong Kong Alumni Association Entrance Award STENBERG COLLEGE FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP THE CANADA SOARS AWARDS RBC ROYAL BANK FINANCIAL LIFESKILLS SCHOLARSHIPS BCSSCROSS COUNTRY & TRACK AND FIELD ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP BOYS VOLLEYBALL SCHOLARSHIP GUILDFORD ROTARY CLUB SCHOLARSHIPS BC HIGH SCHOOL BOYS VOLLEYBALL SCHOLARSHIP $70,000 total scholarships available for various programs (3) of each: $500, $250, $250, $100 and who intend to return to Hong Kong after graduation. Selection is based on academic excellence as well as character, initiative and community involvement. Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or landed immigrant; be ready to begin classes full time at Stenberg College’s Surrey campus in the fall of 2008 and must use the scholarship awarded for tuition only. Recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional achievements in the following categories: academics (for outstanding scholastic achievement), arts (for outstanding achievement in Fine, Performing or Applied Arts) and community service (for exemplary contributions to the community – locally, nationally or internationally). All senior students must have a minimum grade average of 73% on their most recent transcript. (10) $2,009 Minimum average of 65%; demonstrated involvement in any or all of the following areas: community leadership, extracurricular activities, special endeavours or circumstances, volunteer service, outside interests and/or hobbies, career and educational objectives. Must be registered/accepted at a college or university in Canada for the upcoming fall/winter session. (1) $1,000 Candidate must have proficiency in Cross Country or Track and Field at the BC High School Provincial Championships. Must demonstrate good citizenship, character and leadership. Must have a minimum C+ average or the capability of being accepted into a post-secondary institution of their choice. (2–3) $400 and $500 Provided to any successful applicant of a team affiliated with BCHSBVA and enrolling in a Canadian university or college. Must have a proficiency in indoor volleyball, demonstrate good citizenship, character and leadership, have a minimum C+ average or the capability of being accepted by the postsecondary institution of their choice. (5) $1,000 The successful applicant will be able to display a meaningful connection to the Rotary motto (Service Above Self). Applicants should be able to demonstrate evidence of good character, good citizenship and the development of a wellrounded individual with a focus on the advancement of service, truth, fairness, goodwill, friendship, and benefit to those with whom the applicant has been involved.
