You will have seen, in previous editions of the<br />
<strong>ESHA</strong> magazine, the adverts and articles for the<br />
<strong>ESHA</strong> biennial conference in Edinburgh. You may<br />
have visited the dedicated conference website:<br />

Bookings are now starting to come in for the<br />
conference and I wanted to give you a nudge to<br />
encourage you book your place sooner rather than<br />
later as places are limited.<br />

The theme for the conference is ‘Connecting Leadership’ –<br />
addressing one of the core purposes of <strong>ESHA</strong> and one of the biggest<br />
issues in school leadership.<br />
We all know that the role of a school leader can be an isolated one.<br />
Isolation is the enemy of improvement. It is important that we<br />
all make sure that we build links with colleagues locally, nationally<br />
and internationally to ensure we are aware of and can learn from<br />
practice elsewhere. To make this easy for delegates, we will highlight<br />
on delegate badges which school sector delegates are from along<br />
with their school size. On the third day of conference we will build on<br />
this opportunity to build relationships and links by working in groups<br />
of colleagues with similar schools.<br />
Over three days the conference will have three sub-themes:<br />
