3. 2010 YEAR 12 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT 2010 Head Boy – Ben Donaldson, Head Girl – Brittany Fergusson A YEAR OF OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE A total of 317 students completed Year 12 at Rossmoyne Senior High School in 2010. Of these, 91% studied four or more examination courses towards the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). Significant awards Curriculum Council Awards Course Exhibitions A course exhibition is awarded to the eligible student obtaining the highest combined mark in a WACE course. Three Course Exhibitions were awarded to Rossmoyne Senior High School students: Chinese Second Language Joel Choong French Annie McTigue German Annie McTigue Vocational Education and Training (VET) Exhibitions A VET exhibition is awarded to the top eligible student who completes an Australian Qualification Framework Certificate II or higher in each national industry area in their final WACE year. One VET Exhibition was awarded to a Rossmoyne Senior High School student: VET Exhibition (General Construction) Joshua Orr Certificates of Distinction (WACE courses) Certificates of Distinction are awarded to eligible students who are in the top 0.5 per cent of candidates based on the WACE course score or the top two candidates (whichever is greater) in a WACE course.
