Guidelines for Enrolment Please detach & keep Conditions of Enrolment to Annesley College School Rules Parents agree to be bound by the present and future rules and policies of the College and undertake to ensure their daughter(s) comply with these rules. For admission to Annesley College it is necessary to complete the Application for Admission. It should be returned to the Admissions Office together with a non-refundable application fee. On receipt of your daughter’s Application for Admission to the College, her name will be listed with all other applicants wishing to enter the College in the same year at the same year level. Boarding applications will be accepted for Years 6-12 only. Offer of Place A formal Offer of Place will be made up to two years preceding that in which admission is sought. Places are offered to the earliest waitlisted applicants until a class is filled. Applicants to whom places are offered will be asked to accept an Offer of Place, and to pay the prescribed enrolment deposit as a condition of acceptance. Should the student’s enrolment be cancelled after confirmation, this deposit will be forfeited. The acceptance of an Offer of Place constitutes a binding agreement with Annesley College on the terms set out in these Conditions of Enrolment. Australian students only: An enrolment deposit fee of $750.00 is payable at the time of the enrolment, comprising a $400.00 component refundable at the end of schooling, $100.00 for administrative purposes and $250.00 for life membership of the MLC/Annesley Old Scholars’ Association. As places are allocated based on the earliest date of receipt of this form, it is most important that your daughter’s name be placed on the waitlist as promptly as possible. A place at Annesley College is not assured until a formal Offer of a Place is made and is accepted in accordance with the Conditions of Enrolment. Applicants may elect to defer entry to a later year. Deferred applications will be added to the waitlist for the newly nominated year and level and will be considered according to the original date of lodgment of this Application for Admission. A deferral made after a formal offer has been issued does not guarantee a place in a later year or level. It is essential that the College be kept informed of changes to the information given on this form. No responsibility can be taken by the College for nondelivery of its communications. A considerable period of time may pass between waitlisting and enrolment of a student at Annesley and we therefore urge families to communicate to the Admissions Office all changes of address and other contact details as they occur. Tuition Fees Tuition fees are charged on an annual basis. The first fee payment is due before the end of October in the year prior to admission to the College. This payment is one quarter of the current annual Tuition Fee. Amenities fees and resource levies are charged on a quarterly basis. Tuition fees, amenities fees and resource levies are fixed in November of each year for the following year. When fees and levies for the following year are fixed, the next three (3) instalments of the Tuition Fees for that year will be adjusted proportionately. Boarding Fees Boarding places are allocated for the whole academic year unless expressly agreed otherwise. The academic year consists of four (4) school terms but excludes school holidays. The liability for the Boarding Fees accrues for the whole academic year upon payment of the enrolment deposit but may be paid in four (4) instalments at the times determined by Annesley College at its discretion (see below). If a student is withdrawn at any stage during the year, and part of the Boarding Fees for that academic year remain unpaid, the balance of the Boarding Fees are immediately due and payable. Liability for Fees The person(s) signing an acceptance of Offer of Place is liable for the payment of all fees. Where more than one person signs the said form the liability of each such persons is joint and several. Notice of Withdrawal Notice of withdrawal of a student from the College must be given in writing one term in advance. Where a student is withdrawn without notice being given, Tuition Fees due for the following term (but not yet paid) will remain due and payable. Only in exceptional circumstances will fees paid in advance be refunded. Boarding Fees due and unpaid for the whole academic year are payable forthwith in any event. Variation and Payment of Fees The College will from time to time determine the instalments and manner in which fees may be paid. The College Council reserves the right to amend the fee scale at anytime. Where possible, advance notice of alteration will be given. If the College incurs an expense in receiving payment, the College reserves the right to recover such expense. No remission of fees, either in whole or part, will be made should a student be absent, except by arrangement with the Principal when due notice has been given. Accounts Overdue An administration fee of $50.00 and interest at the rate for the time being charged on overdue credit card accounts (or such other fee or rate of interest as the College Council may from time to time determine) will be charged on overdue accounts. In the event that collection action is required, the College is entitled to recover all expenses incurred including but not limited to agents’ fees and solicitors’ costs and disbursements. Termination of Schooling – Nonpayment of Fees The College reserves the right to terminate the schooling of a student whose account remains unpaid at the end of a current school term. Termination or Suspension of Schooling – Conduct A student shall during her period of enrolment at the College be expected to conform to standards of conduct and behaviour set by the College. The Principal has the right to require the immediate withdrawal from the College of any student who, in the Principal’s opinion, has committed a serious breach of discipline or other act, which undermines the good order, or reputation of the College. In this case fees paid in advance will not be refunded and any fees due but not yet paid shall remain due and payable. Conduct and Uniform Upon acceptance of a place at Annesley College, parents undertake to support the school philosophy and to observe the College’s Code of Conduct. They further undertake to support the decisions of the Principal in relation to the required conduct. All students are expected to wear the correct school uniform and to maintain it in a neat and tidy condition at all times. 1
