How much influence should they have? • Should the government try to regulate the media outlets more than it does so currently? • Do the currently proposed theories and practices exemplify the current state of the mass media? • Do you believe it is the media’s right and obligation to report anything and everything, even if it deals with issues of national security? • Over the course of history, the mass media has been able to change and influence many important governmental decisions that have resulted in negative repercussions to the country. To a certain extent, the same idea exists in today’s society. Do you believe that this needs to be changed to make sure that the media does not have such an influence? • Do you believe that there is a significant difference in the level of influence between the ways news is reported from a liberal standpoint than from a conservative standpoint? If so, how much difference is there?
