Registration; collect conference information packs and name badges. Divide into Groups and Teams; each Team selects a Team Leader 10:00–10:10 Complete Initial Questionnaire 10:10–10:15 Mark Bailey (Armagh Observatory) “Welcome and Opening Remarks” 10:15–10:40 Jay Tate (Spaceguard UK, Knighton, Powys, Wales) “The Science of Armageddon” 10:40–10:45 Questions 10:45–11:00 All Groups (Planets, Galaxies, Astronomers, Spacecraft) leave Reid Hall and cross road to Observatory/Planetarium site 11:00–12:00 First two Groups — Planets and Galaxies — enter Planetarium for (1) Planetarium Show and (2) Planetarium Exhibition, switching over at 11:30 11:00–12:00 Last two Groups — Astronomers and Spacecraft — enter Observatory Grounds and walk up to Observatory Human Orrery and Library for (1) Human Orrery Activity and (2) Meteorite Workshop in Library, switching over at 11:30 12:00–12:15 All Groups (Planets, Galaxies, Astronomers, Spacecraft) cross road to Royal School Assembly Hall for Lunch 12:15–13:00 LUNCH 13:00–13:15 All Groups (Planets, Galaxies, Astronomers, Spacecraft) cross road to Observatory/Planetarium site 13:15–14:15 First two Groups — Planets and Galaxies — enter Observatory Grounds and walk up to Observatory Human Orrery and Library for (1) Human Orrery Activity and (2) Meteorite Workshop in Library, switching over at 13:45 13:15–14:15 Last two Groups — Astronomers and Spacecraft — enter Planetarium for (1) Planetarium Show and (2) Planetarium Exhibition, switching over at 13:45 14:15–14:30 All Groups (Planets, Galaxies, Astronomers, Spacecraft) cross road to Royal School Reid Hall for final Plenary Session 14:30–14:50 Hand out Final Questionnaires for Completion and Return; Answers to Human Orrery Questions and Planetarium Exhibition Questions; Prizes for Best Drawing of an Astronomical Object and Best Team Efforts; and to each Participating School 14:50–15:00 Any General Questions and Closing Remarks 15:00–15:20 Buses Leave for Home; Students Pick up Packs of Leaflets etc. as they leave
