Why <strong>IACP</strong>?<br />
The <strong>International</strong> <strong>Association</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Chiefs</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Police</strong> is a comprehensive<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essional organization that Serves the Leaders <strong>of</strong> Today and Develops<br />
the Leaders <strong>of</strong> Tomorrow.<br />
The <strong>IACP</strong> is dedicated to meeting the needs <strong>of</strong> law enforcement<br />
executives. For over 100 years, the <strong>IACP</strong> has been launching<br />
internationally acclaimed programs, speaking out on behalf <strong>of</strong> law<br />
enforcement, conducting ground-breaking research, and providing<br />
exemplary programs and services to members across the globe. This<br />
mission continues today.<br />
The <strong>IACP</strong> “serves the leaders <strong>of</strong> today” through advocacy, training,<br />
research, and pr<strong>of</strong>essional services; the <strong>IACP</strong> addresses the most<br />
pressing issues facing leaders today. From new technologies to emerging<br />
threats and trends, the <strong>IACP</strong> provides comprehensive and responsive<br />
service to its members throughout the world.<br />
The <strong>IACP</strong> is also focused on “developing the law enforcement leaders<br />
<strong>of</strong> tomorrow.” The <strong>IACP</strong> Center for <strong>Police</strong> Leadership, its <strong>Police</strong> Chief<br />
Mentoring program, and numerous other training and educational<br />
opportunities are designed to prepare tomorrow’s leaders for the<br />
challenges they will face.<br />
The <strong>IACP</strong> membership encompasses a diverse and exceptionally<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essional group. <strong>IACP</strong> members are able to participate in committees<br />
and sections <strong>of</strong> topical interest and network with law enforcement<br />
leaders from around the world. In addition, members are provided<br />
opportunities to participate in summits, project advisory boards,<br />
research endeavors, and more. These opportunities provide forums to<br />
strengthen pr<strong>of</strong>essional development and increase leadership capacity.<br />
Who We Serve<br />
Law enforcement pr<strong>of</strong>essionals at every level qualify for membership<br />
in the <strong>IACP</strong>. Those in command-level positions qualify for active<br />
membership; others working in and associated with law enforcement are<br />
eligible for associate membership.<br />

The <strong>International</strong> <strong>Association</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Chiefs</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Police</strong> is dedicated to advancing<br />
and promoting the law enforcement pr<strong>of</strong>ession and protecting the safety<br />
<strong>of</strong> law enforcement <strong>of</strong>ficers. Drawing on the expertise and experiences<br />
<strong>of</strong> its membership and pr<strong>of</strong>essional staff, the <strong>IACP</strong> serves the pr<strong>of</strong>ession<br />
by addressing cutting edge issues confronting law enforcement through<br />
