This is a call to all Pacific Dental Conference attendees to consider taking on a key role at the conference by becoming a Host to one
of our over 100 speakers. Is there a speaker at the conference whom you would like to meet? Becoming a Host provides a perfect
opportunity for you to communicate with your favourite presenter!
The PDC has a reputation among speakers for its hospitality and this is mostly due to the Hosts who help make the speaker’s experience
in Vancouver a pleasant one. It’s a rewarding experience with some perks! If you agree to be a Host, you will be credited your registration
fee following the conference.
What exactly does a Host do?
Hosts are the liaisons between the Pacific Dental Conference and the speakers and have the prime responsibility to ensure their stay
and presentation at our meeting is a positive experience. Duties of a host include:
• introducing your speaker at the presentation
• monitoring the presentation
Robert Hicks
Memorial Lecture
As the founding Chairman of the BC Dental
Meeting, Dr. Robert Hicks started the
meeting format that evolved into today’s
Pacific Dental Conference. In 1988, he said
“While the quality of the scientific program
and the dental trade exhibits must justify
the valuable time we set aside to attend
continuing education events, we should
never lose sight of the importance of the
social contact we enjoy when we attend
[the Pacific Dental Conference]”.
This philosophy has continued to
foster the growth of the Pacific Dental
Conference to the current day.
It is with respect that we have dedicated
a lecture to honour the experience and
expertise that guided the meeting through
its developing years.
Pediatric Sedation Dentistry
3-day course | 25 credit hours
Become a hero to underserved kids.
Fewer than 5 percent of dentists specialize in pediatric care,
making it hard for kids get the dental care they need. This
Addressing a child’s unique anatomy, psychology and
physiology takes center stage in this curriculum.
