Water Hog is a cruiser stern
narrowboat, built in 1996 by
Liverpool Boat Company and fitted
out by Vardy Bros.
Water Hog has an open well deck
with a number of storage lockers,
from the well deck we enter the
saloon, which has a very light
and airy feel, there are a number
of fitted cupoard and shelving
units. The rest of the furniture
is freestanding and the area is
heated by a central ly located
Aarrow Becton Bunny solid fuel
stove. The galley is ‘U’ shaped and
has solid wood work surface. There
is a 4 ring gas hob, oven and grill
and a 12v Shoreline fridge. Next
to the galley is a Pullman dinette
which also makes up into an extra
double berth. The area between
the dinette and the galley has a
set of starboard side doors. The
bathroom has a Thetford cassette
toilet, basin unit and a shower unit
with a square tray and perspex
doors. The bedroom is to the stern
of the boat and has a fixed double
bed.
Water Hog has a large cruiser stern
area which is surrounded by taff
rails for safety. The boat is powered
by a Ford 1600XLB disesel engine
which has a PRM Delta 20 gearbox.
