Kara Klein
performs at SSA
On November 28 the St. Scholastica Academy’s student body, faculty, and
staff were treated to an inspirational and beautiful performance of one
their own alumna, Kara Klein 2004. Kara, an acclaimed Christian singer
and songwriter, has gained national recognition for her music during the
past two years. She has performed throughout the United States, Europe
and the Caribbean sharing her ministry.
“Beautiful Still”, a tribute to Terri Schiavo, was one of the many songs
Kara composed and sang to the SSA audience. This song was featured on
national television on the evening of Terri Schiavo’s death and has won
several accolades, including the award for “Best DVD of the Year” by the
United Catholic Music and Video Association. She just released her
second original album entitled “I Am Home” which she debuted at SSA.
Kara also made a guest appearance at the St. Scholastica Academy
Christmas concert in December.

Treat Day
St. Scholastica Academy Alumnae Association served
treats for all the SSA students during break in between
final exams on December 19. The alumnae supply
cookies, candy, and refreshments for the students
various times throughout the school year.

SSA Christmas Prayer Service
St. Scholastica Academy held its annual Christmas Prayer
Service on December 18. This Christmas Prayer Service marked
the 40th Anniversary of the Christmas Dance performed at SSA
and was originally choreographed by the late Rosemerry
Hannian, who once taught dance at SSA and was the founder of
Creative Dance Studio. The three dancers who performed from
Dancescape Studio were:
