Powers not normally inherent but stem from unique training, mutations,

alien origin, experiments, enchantments, equipment, or other sources.

The ability to move quickly & easily. Used to dodge, to catch objects,

handle vehicles, and other feats that require quick co-ordinating action.

Natural magnetic charm or appeal. Used to inspire, intimidate, promote

diplomacy, and other feats requiring personal force to affect others.

The ability to withstand hardship or strain. Used to resist disease, gas,

poison, lack of oxygen, and other feats requiring physical toughness.

Bodily condition and fervor to live. Used to determine how much

physical abuse characters can withstand before unsciousness or death.

The ability to comprehend information and think logically. Used to

modify and invent technology, learn skills, and other intellectual feats.

The ability to immediately apprehend situational information. Used to

find clues, gain initiative, detect hidden items, and other attentive feats.

A measure of a character's reputation around their usual environment.

Often used to affect large crowds, gain favors, borrow items, etc.

A character's monetary influence. Used to afford rent, hire staff, fund

events, afford ransoms, and other feats requiring financial assets.

The measure of physical muscular power. Used to lift objects, escape

grapples, inflict melee damage, and other feats of raw physical power.

A measure of mental strength. Used to resist attacks vs mind or will,

resist fearful or stressful situations, and other feats of mental fortitude.

The ability to think and act based upon knowledge & experience. Used

to discern motives, judge proper action, and other feats of discernment.

Individual abilities possessed by a character to effectively use their

learned or developed knowledge in execution of particular tasks.

Damage is used to determine the physical destruction that may be caused by a single

use of a character's attribute, ability, skill, or equipment.

Distance is a measurement of range that an ability, equipment, or skill can span with a

single use. Note that some movement abilities rank under distance rather than speed.

Duration is the measurement of time that a character's ability, skill, or equipment may

continue to function without further action.

Rate is the range of time that determines how often an ability, skill, or equipment may

operate before being available again.

This attribute is used to determine the rate of physical movement as a result of a

power, equipment, and even a skill, if appropriate. This is separate from distance.

Augustus has no qualms with lying to protect himself and is his defense mechanism.

He is so stingy that he feigns poverty so nobody will bother him for money.

Augustus loves to watch dancers and listen to the banjo, though he can do neither well.

He keeps to himself except for his few trips to town and enjoy a bit of his riches.

Augustus is advanced in years and can be a bit forgetful and near-sighted at times.

He has quite a collection of gold nuggets that he hordes with his life.

Augustus is a bit hard of hearing and talks louder than most around him.

His fine motor skills are weakening and takes a sip of hard liquor to calm his jitters.

BACKGROUND

Augustus ventured west to get his fair share of the gold to be had. He had heard the legends

that it was flowing out of the mountains, so he took off that way with his tools, pan, banjo, some clothes,

horse, and very little else. However, the trip proved more difficult than he expected and wound up

having to resort to his horse as a source of sustenance. Eventually, he made it and picked a secluded

spot to set up his temporary home. The rumors proved to be not as true as they sounded and panning

for gold was slow goings for a long while. Months went by with little sign of reward. He had worn out all

but his last pair of britches and long johns when his perseverance finally paid off. He found his first

sizable nugget of gold. That was all it took for him to be hooked. Keeping up an air of poverty, he travels

to different towns to sell his gold in small bits so no one will catch on to his honey hole.

HIS SECRET: He has murdered more than one person who came across his gold panning location.

“Ain't nothin' but a bit o' gold up in them hills. . . No way to make a livin'. ”

Bidasar is stoic and rarely shows emotion of any sort, even when severely angry.

He remains courteous, even towards those he may despise.

Bidasar doesn't mind biding his time since time itself is a tool of destruction.

He has been hurt by the world numerous times and expects more of the same.

Bidasar's marbled body takes more damage from blunt attacks.

The weight that his body produces is more than some structures can bear.

BACKGROUND

Bidasar is a descendent in a long line of benevolent stone people who are renown for their kind

and caring spirit. However, he does not share the same selfless perspective of the rest of his people.

What was once good in his heart turned to stone when Makrana, the love of his life, courted his lifelong

friend whom he had been mentoring in social matters. To avenge himself, he courted his friend's sister

and broke her heart when she didn't measure up to Makrana. Realizing she failed to appease his

hurting heart, he left the community he had known and sought solace elsewhere. However, every

person to whom he turned failed him in comparison to his Makrana. To Bidasar, the whole world had

failed him... so the only recourse he saw was to fail the world by earning others' trust and breaking it

when he benefited him most. He now travels, seeking something or someone to heal his heart of stone.

HIS SECRET: Bidasar possesses his tribes most valued gemstone... a sacred holy item.

She is an encourager to her friends and herself and loves to see when a plan succeeds.

BACKGROUND

Bernadette was a young girl when she witnessed the great fire that engulfed the city where she

lived. When no satisfying explanation was given to explain atrocity she had seen unfold, she sought her

own. The more people turned her away, the more dedicated she became to uncover the truth.

Bernadette decided that day she would devote her life to discovering untold stories. She became known

as the girl with the endless questions. As she grew older and began digging into areas of the criminal

underworld, her life took a turn for the worse. The man she planned to marry supposedly fell down an

elevator shaft... onto some bullets. The only obvious clue left was a single wheat penny shoved into a

handkerchief and neatly placed in his coat pocket. Rather than steer Bernadette from her mission, it

fueled her fire and she now travels wherever suspicious and mysterious leads take her.

HER SECRET: Bernadette discovered who started the Great Fire and it is the only story she won't tell.

Mumbles is an easily amused man, taking pleasure in the simple things.

He is constantly escaping to a better time and a better place, and ultimately, a better life.

Mumbles doesn't care what others think of him anymore. He does what he wants.

The exception to his rudeness is around pretty young ladies, to whom he is a gentleman.

Mumbles stinks and has lost teeth due to poor hygiene, which doesn't help his social life.

It is very difficult to understand most of what he says, but that doesn't stop him.

Mumbles is very easily angered and drawn to angered reaction.

He is deathly afraid of any amount of water that rises above his knees.

BACKGROUND

Mortimer Morgan was raised in a family that had very little in the way of material possessions.

As a result, he struggled with hygiene and by the time he dropped out of eighth grade, lost more teeth

than he cared to count. This, coupled with his speech impediment, made it very difficult to understand

much of what Mortimer said. It was at the hand of boyhood bullies that young Mortimer earned his

nickname, Mumbles. Try as he might, he has been unable to outlive the moniker. He spent his life in

want... friends, money, teeth. They all seemed out of reach. Realizing that his life was going to be a

lonely, pathetic one, Mortimer quickly turned to a life of crime. Even this was a web of frustrations when

few could understand his demands. He eventually abandoned his plans to lead a gang of outlaws and

settled for being a simple henchman. He is currently saving his money to hire a speech therapist.

HIS SECRET: Mumbles is trying to gain enough money to start over with a nice respectable life.

Dreven is a gentleman and is courteous to both friends and strangers.

Once he sets his mind to a task, there is no persuading him to do otherwise.

Dreven is overly curious and always wants to understand the new and unusual.

As an adventurous man, he will assume all risks in order to take the road not traveled.

Dreven possesses all of the typical vampiric flaws: sunlight, garlic, crosses, etc.

He no longer possesses the technology of his time and must resort to inferior resources.

The culture and people that Dreven knew remain in other points in history.

His personal morals can overcome his vampiric drive, despite consequences to himself.

BACKGROUND

Dreven retains very few memories of his past. He knows he was an incredible scientist with no

equal who had mastered a technology that none other in history could. His incredible experiments led to

a discovery of the physical nature of time and subsequently led him to control it. With all of time before

him, he could not contain his curiosity and sought out the true origins of the legends of history. While

many were interesting, they usually turned out to be nothing be stretches of the truth... except for one.

He never expected vampires to be real. When he discovered the truth, he attempted to vanish into time,

but not before the creature could seize Dreven and disappear into the timeline with him. Fighting for his

life, he struggled with the creature, badly damaging his machine and hurtling the two into separate

timestreams. He now travels time, seeking his maker and destroying evil in every form.

HIS SECRET: Dreven won't bite someone if someone asks him not to.

“Time is the unveiler of truth. I just happen to unveil time. ”
