MAY CAR DAY in Culverden on Friday 11 May<br />

The school road safety day, May Car Day, is to be held at <strong>Amuri</strong> <strong>Area</strong> <strong>School</strong> Culverden on Friday 11<br />

May.<br />

Timetable of events:<br />

11.00: Displays in the gym and around it<br />

11.20am Mock crash in the rugby ground<br />

12.10pm: Three speakers talk in the gymnasium<br />

1.00pm: Speed braking demonstration on <strong>School</strong> Road: This involves a car and a motor cycle<br />

demonstrating the effect of speed and brake use on stopping distance.<br />

1.20 – 2.05pm Displays in the gymnasium and around it<br />

The general public is invited to attend any part or the entire event.<br />

PLEASE NOTE: <strong>School</strong> Road, near the school, will be closed for less than two minutes while each of<br />

the six braking demonstrations is held.<br />
