Up to 50 ladies enjoyed
an afternoon of
Pampering on the
20th October
to raise funds for
the William Brown Trust.
This was the third successful Ladies
Pamper Afternoon and therapies on
offer were; Hopi Ear Candles, Natural
Face Lift, Back, Neck & Shoulder
Massage, Indian Head Massage, Hands
& Feet Massage, Reflexology and Nails
File & Paint. Entry included; tea, coffee
or a soft drink plus a yummy cake, or a
cream tea. Ladies came, chatted,
browsed the stalls of hand made cards,
funky jewellery, preserves, raffle &
tombola.
After their pampering the ladies drifted
home on a cloud of contentment ready
to take on half term at full force, but
not before saying “see you next year
and you must do it again”.
Many thanks must go to all the ladies
who attended the Pamper afternoon
and of course I could not fund raise
without my friends who turn up on the
day and help out selling raffle and
tombola tickets, serving refreshments
and washing up. Thanks for the
support of Richard, my lovely husband
who carries tables and chairs and
helped clear up.
An amazing £535.00 was raised on the
day, added to the pre event ticket sales
and of preserves, £635.00 was raised in
all. A truly wonderful result making
over a £1,000 raised this year for the
trust and over £4,000 since 2010. This
money continues to help with
education and research into the high
grade brain tumour that claimed Bill’s
life.
memory loss, the Suffolk Dementia
Helpline offers a listening ear and time
for you to talk things through in
allow you time to talk. The Dementia
Helpline is a service for people affected
by the illness themselves, carers, family
members, friends, professionals and
anyone concerned about dementia. The
helpline can provide information about
dementia, how to get help locally, how
to access service to maintain
independence and queries on benefits
and legal issues. We can also respond to
email enquiries, if this is a more
convenient way for you to get in touch.
