Why does paving fade<br />
Weathering<br />
Most pre-cast paving products are manufactured from<br />
sand, cement, aggregate and colour pigment.<br />
Unfortunately over time rain, U.V sunlight and the<br />
freeze/thaw cycle all combine to fade or “wash out”<br />
the pigment on the exposed face of the paving.<br />
Traffic<br />
Abrasion from foot or vehicle traffic gradually wears<br />
the surface of the paving .<br />
Moss/ Mould Growth<br />
This is a particular problem on older paving, on<br />
paving shaded from sunlight or on paving overhung by<br />
trees.<br />
Pressure Washing<br />
We all do it….Spring arrives and out comes the<br />
pressure washer to clean down the drive or patio!<br />
Pressure washers are great for cleaning but they too<br />
play their part in washing out the pigment from your<br />
paving (and often the joint sand too!).<br />

The Solution!<br />
<strong>Restore</strong> depth of colour<br />
“<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” puts back the colour that the<br />
elements and wear and tear wash out. Formulated<br />
from a blend of premium resins and light-fast pigments,<br />
“<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” penetrates deep into the paving<br />
surface to leave a “natural” looking finish. You can use<br />
it on virtually all pre-cast flags, paver blocks,<br />
decorative kerbs and borders. Lasts up to 5 years.<br />
Enhance original tones<br />
Block paving is often laid with subtly different shade<br />
blocks either for a mottled effect or to form a<br />
geometric design. Because “<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” is a<br />
translucent liquid it will actually enhance these original<br />
tones, even on badly faded surfaces.<br />
Resistant to UV, water, oil & dirt<br />
“<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” is an all-in-one treatment. As well as<br />
being a colour renovator it is also a high solids sealer<br />
which helps to repel water, light oils and grime.<br />
“<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” is made using light-fast pigments to<br />
ensure prolonged life in direct sunlight.<br />
Easy application<br />
Applying “<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” is simple. Once the paving<br />
has been prepared and allowed to dry, you simply roller<br />
on to achieve a beautiful “new look” drive or patio.<br />

Vibrant Colour Options<br />
“<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” is available in three shades to treat<br />
different original surface colours. Please take care to<br />
select the correct colour as “<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” is a<br />
permanent finish.<br />
Buff Brindle (2 shades) Anthracite<br />
IMPORTANT! Owing to printing limitations shades are strictly approximate. “<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” is a translucent material and<br />
therefore the finished colour partly reflects the tones of the surface treated. It is therefore vital that the surface is clean and<br />
dark stains removed prior to treatment. We always recommend a small test area is treated to check compatibility .<br />
Four steps to the perfect finish!!<br />
1. Biocidal wash<br />
Prepare the surface by washing with a pressure washer fitted with a<br />
rotary patio cleaning tool. Once the paving is dry, spray the surface<br />
with a solution of <strong>Kingfisher</strong> “Biocidal Wash”. This sanitising<br />
solution will kill any latent moss, lichen or green mould spores.<br />

2. Block Fill (weed inhibiting grout)<br />
Often when block paving is cleaned it is necessary to “top-up” the<br />
joint sand. Unlike traditional sand <strong>Kingfisher</strong> “Block-Fill” is a<br />
moisture curing grout which will not wash out and inhibits weed<br />
growth. Easy brush-in application for joints 5mm or less. 15Kg tub<br />
3. <strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong><br />
Apply a single coat of “<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” evenly by brush or roller.<br />
Make sure that the paving is completely dry before applying<br />
“<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” and that rain is not expected within 4 hours of<br />
application. Important! “<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” is a translucent material<br />
and therefore the treated surface cures to a darker shade than the<br />
liquid. 5 litres or 25 litres, Coverage: 4 sq m/litre<br />
4. Ultimate Topcoat (optional)<br />
“Ultimate Topcoat” is our “high-solids” clear resin sealer which can<br />
be applied to most paving materials. Used on a surface treated with<br />
“<strong>Restore</strong>-A-<strong>Drive</strong>” it will provide added protection, improving the<br />
longevity of the finish. 5 litres /25 litres, Coverage: 4 sq m/litre<br />
