Who Should Attend
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Programme is not for the faint-hearted. To undertake

Delegates are encouraged to complete the programme over a 12-18 month period

Those undertaking the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Programme must have already
achieved their Green Belt. Green Belt training is also available from UEP’s Lean Six

Programme Structure
The Black Belt Programme from UEP’s Lean Six Sigma Team is delivered throughout
the year in a series of three or four-day open training programmes, during which
delegates will experience an engaging blend of presentation, activity, discussion and
both individual and team-based case studies.
This flexible structure is designed not only to allow delegates to take the programme
at their own pace, fitting around their other commitments, but ensures delegates
ability to put each stage of their learning into almost immediate practice in their own
environment, embedding their skills and knowledge.
Between training programmes, delegates are supported with unlimited email and
phone access and several site visits from UEP’s Lean Six Sigma Team.
This is done through the creation of an Evidence File built up over the course of the
programme.
Black Belt training programmes are delivered at our Training Centres in Oxford and
Coventry. Each day’s schedule is restricted to normal working hours so there is no
residential requirement, though details of appropriate local accommodation will be
provided.

UEP’s Lean Six Sigma Team
Martin Scott – B.Sc, MBA, MIMMM, C.Eng
Martin’s experience of Lean and Six Sigma extends over two
decades and a wide range of clients and disciplines. Highlights
include leading GE Lighting’s Six Sigma implementation across
Europe, the design and implementation of deployments for
several pharmaceutical companies – one retail-based where
the focus was on HR and Sales –, an advanced materials
manufacturer and the Unipart Group itself. He has also provided
Lean Six Sigma project support to several UK Government
departments and the NHS.
He is also an experienced trainer, having led training and
development for both a leading IT support company and an
international publisher.

Alison is an inspiring trainer and an experienced facilitator.
She is people-focussed and highly-skilled in the explanation of
