PORT OF DURRES<br />

The main and biggest <strong>Port</strong> in Albania and the gateway <strong>of</strong><br />

Corridor VIII<br />

It is situated in SW part <strong>of</strong> the city <strong>of</strong> Duress and 36 km East<br />

<strong>of</strong> Tirana.<br />

DPA is a joint stock Company Where 100% <strong>of</strong> shares<br />

belong to the government.<br />

How Corridor VIII and Durres -<br />

Morine Road will affect <strong>Port</strong>s<br />

• The area reached by port <strong>of</strong> Durres and port <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Vlora</strong> through Corridor VIII will be expanded<br />

towards Macedonia (FYROM) and Bulgaria, so<br />

linking the Adriatic with the Black Sea<br />

• Durres-Morine Road will make it possible for<br />

Kosova to use <strong>of</strong> port <strong>of</strong> Durres and port <strong>of</strong><br />

Shengjini.<br />
