US private equity fund manager Angelo Gordon announced plans is<br />

to invest a substantial proportion of its $2bn of property funds in the<br />

UK. (07/09)<br />

The privately owned fund manager is investing two funds: its $800m<br />

AG Core Plus Realty Fund II, of which it has already spent around<br />

35%; and its $1.25bn opportunity fund, the AG Realty Fund VII, of<br />

which around 25% is invested.<br />

05/10 - Angelo, Gordon, Gracemark Investments and US hotelier<br />

Amerimar Enterprises bought the 275-bed Jolly St Ermin’s Hotel in<br />

London’s St James’s from NH Hotels for £65m.<br />

01/11 - Angelo, Gordon and Lathe Investments acquired the<br />

340,000 sq ft Castlegate shopping centre in Stockton-on-Tees for<br />

Angle <strong>Property</strong> was set up by former Frontier Estates directors<br />

James Good and Tony Williamson in February 2011 with backing<br />

from Palmer Capital Partners. Angle will acquire and undertake its<br />

own development and investment projects, as well as providing<br />

development and asset management services to property owners<br />

and occupiers on a joint venture basis.<br />

05/11 - Angle <strong>Property</strong> bought five schemes with a total gross<br />

development value of £60m from Frontier Estates, as part of the<br />

director's exit from the <strong>com</strong>pany. The five projects are spread<br />

across the industrial, office, retail and residential sectors in<br />

London’s West End and the south-east in towns such as Hemel<br />

Hempstead, Oxford, Aylesbury and High Wy<strong>com</strong>be.<br />

07/11 - Angle <strong>Property</strong> agreed to sell its interest in 38-40 Eastcastle<br />

Street, W1, for £8m to a private Greek investor. The 11,000 sq ft<br />

office and retail property was bought last year by James Good,<br />

director of Angle <strong>Property</strong> for £5.6m with funding secured from the<br />

Palmer Active Value Fund II, managed by Palmer Capital.<br />

02/10 - Anglesea Capital sold the 102,000 sq ft B&Q on Kings Cross<br />

Road, Dundee for £18.9m - a 6.5% yield - to Cordea Savills<br />

European Commercial Fund.<br />

05/10 - Anglesea Capital holds a 6% interest - London & Stamford<br />

<strong>Property</strong> the remaining 94% - for the £208.5m acquisition of Radial<br />

Distribution Limited. The Radial portfolio consists of 16 prime<br />

distribution warehouses totalling 3.4m sq ft (total site area of 165<br />

acres), in prime locations across the UK. Of the 16 units, 13 are<br />

located in the Midlands and one in Scotland, the South East and the<br />
