National EuroVelo Coordination Centres

Objectives

• Implementation, operation and quality control of

the EuroVelo network at a national level.

• Develop the best organisational structure.

• Raise the national profile of EuroVelo.

National EuroVelo Coordination Centres

Consortium of representatives from:

– Relevant public bodies (national and regional)

– NGOs

– Public transport operators

– Service providers.

The exact composition will vary taking into account

the circumstances in each country.

• Signposting coordination

• Communication

• Reporting

• Temporary position whilst establishing a

Coordination Centre.

• Can be an individual, a single organisation

or a couple of organisations.

• Roles and responsibilities similar to a

Coordination Centre.

Regional EuroVelo Coordinators

Solution where establishing a NECC/C has been

difficult due to:

• Geography

• Politics

• Coverage of relevant organisation(s).

Should be a temporary solution in most cases.
