RUSSIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL The eighth annual monthlong celebration of<br />
Russian culture, at locations around <strong>the</strong> city. On Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., a free outdoor event<br />
with dance, music, crafts and children’s activities <strong>in</strong> Asser Levy Park (Seaside Park), Ocean<br />
Parkway and Seabreeze Avenue, Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. Most events featured dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />

SKATEBOARDING COMPETITION AND EXHIBITION Saturday and<br />
Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., featur<strong>in</strong>g professional and amateur skateboarders compet<strong>in</strong>g for<br />
awards and cash prizes <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Maloof Money Cup New York <strong>in</strong> a newly created skate park; <strong>the</strong><br />
competition is closed to entrants but open to spectators. There will also be food, music and<br />
skateboard-<strong>the</strong>med activities. Presented by <strong>the</strong> New York City Department of Parks and<br />
Recreation and <strong>the</strong> Maloof Money Cup. On Friday, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., related events are<br />
planned at <strong>the</strong> Queens Museum of Art <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> park, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g ticket giveaways, a talk and <strong>the</strong><br />
open<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>the</strong> exhibition “From <strong>the</strong> Banks to <strong>the</strong> Globe: The Geography of Skateboard<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong><br />
New York City,” which will run through June 20 Flush<strong>in</strong>g Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, near<br />
<strong>the</strong> former New York State Pavilion , maloofmoneycup.com; queensmuseum.org; Skat<strong>in</strong>g<br />
tickets are free but have to be picked up (first come first served) on Friday from 6:30 to 10 p.m.<br />

SPRING CRAFTS FESTIVAL Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., <strong>the</strong> 17th annual festival, on<br />
Broadway between 66th and 72nd Streets.<br />
STATEN ISLAND FILM FESTIVAL Friday and Saturday beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g at noon, films<br />
by local, national and <strong>in</strong>ternational filmmakers at <strong>the</strong> St. George Theater, 35 Hyatt Street, as<br />
well as <strong>the</strong>aters at <strong>the</strong> College of Staten Island, 2800 Victory Boulevard. (718) 477-1400,<br />
