Skor Simmental’s 10th Anniversary Bull Sale is a very exciting milestone 

event that is hosted by great people that can proudly claim to operate one 

of the best cowherds in Canada. The multiples of high quality cows in this 

herd is really impressive and very hard, if at all, to find any like it. This is 

well proven as this sale is always one of the most anticipated annual events 

of the respected season. Repeat customers, new buyers, registered and 

commercial producers all have purchased bulls successfully from the Skor 

program and have seen realized value repeatedly over and over. 

Complementing the cowherd are the newest of genetic sires to keep it fresh 

for their customer base. This year in the black bulls, sons of “Club King” will 

be among the most in numbers and some excellent sons including what 

may be the best bull in the whole dang sale is a son of the “Enticer” bull, 

Skors Black Enticer 4W, who himself was a former lot # 1 in this prestigious 

event. The reds have top prospects sired by “Old Faithful” - “Crockett” and 

others by Westgold’s “Red Suspect” and some sons of the “Freedom” son 

“Red Bull”. 

I’ve always said that Skor Simmentals is a place that really “sets the bar” 

as far as how many good bulls are produced here annually. It is really 

incomparable as to the volume of quality that is produced each year.

Delivery Options: 

A: $50 discount per lot if picked up from Camrose on sale day. 

B: Bulls delivered free of charge in Alberta and Saskatchewan at the seller’s 

convenience. All other points, bulls delivered at cost. 

C: If you cannot take delivery of your bull when we are in your area, bulls 

must be picked up from the farm by the purchaser. 

Bulls will be wintered free of charge until April 15. After April 15th a charge 

of $3.00/day will be applied. 

All bulls returning to the farm do so at the buyer’s risk and must be insured. 

Insurance agents will be available sale day.

The cowherd is on an annual vaccination program using Bovisheild Gold 

FP5, Vision 8 with Somnus and Jencine. The bulls receive one shot of 

Bovisheild Gold, Vision 8 with Somnus, and Once PMPH at spring turnout. 

The same is given on pasture 3 weeks prior to weaning and then boosted 

the day they come home and given A&D.

Welcome to the 2012, 10th Anniversary Skor Simmental Bull Sale. 

We would like to say Thank You to all our previous bidders and buyers and to everyone who took the time and effort to attend our sale or visit the farm. 

We are very grateful to all who supported our program the past 10 years and look forward to serving you in the future. 

We hope all is well with you and yours. What a difference a year makes. At this time last year we were in the middle of one of the hardest winters ever. 

I’m sure many of our friends in Saskatchewan and Manitoba are enjoying the much needed break from the cold, wind, and mountains of snow. Already 

the savings in feed costs, bedding and labor are enormous. Couple that with the tremendous rise in cattle prices, and it is not hard to figure out why 

so many of you are smiling these days. The market is primed to go higher, as total red meat production has fallen sharply so those smiles are going to 

get a whole lot bigger. Many of you are already looking for bulls that will help your operations finally cash in on a much deserved payday. On that note 

we invite you to come out on March 7th to the CRE in Camrose to see the exciting group of young herd sires we will have on offer. The Simmental 

breed is a great breed to be a part of as it has so much to offer. No other breed has such a wide range of genetic traits to draw from. Calving ease, 

performance, maternal prowess, color selection, fertility, fleshing ease, docility and vigor. You can choose your new herd sires with confidence knowing 

that Simmentals cross well with any of the major breeds. 

The bulls have been developed on a total mixed ration of silage, chopped hay and Right Way Bull Ration which is a no starch, soy hull, fiber pellet made 

by Wetaskiwin Co-op. We have been using that product for many years and are extremely happy with the results. 

Please feel free to drop by the farm before the sale and see the bulls in their pens. Farm visits give us a better chance to get to know you and your 

specific needs. If you are unable to make it to the farm the bulls will be available for viewing in Camrose the Monday and Tuesday before the sale. Do

4W was a high selling bull at our 2010 sale that was purchased by our good neighbors at Prairie Land and 

Cattle. They let us use him for clean up that spring and we ultimately purchased a half interest back from them. 

He was a real curve bender with an incredible birth to weaning spread. We had always admired 4W for his style 

and unmatchable growth. He weighed 1800 lbs as a yearling at the sale yet we bred him in the heifer pen and 

he proved to be one of the easiest calving sires we have ever used. His temperament is second to none as he 

is very good natured and easy to work with. We look forward to calving the females from this exciting new herd

chose Club King to use as a calving ease sire and he really fit the bill. What we were not expecting 

was the incredible growth the calves had. His combination of calving ease and growth is very similar

other than Joker, a bull whose females are desired more than any other bull in black Simmental 

operations. His dam, 14W, is an outstanding black Gunner heifer who was the first calf of 91T. 91T’s
