Subject : Objectives and functions of the Special Cell for Co-operation.<br />

In pursuance of the order dated 2.4.<strong>2004</strong> establishing Special Cell for Co- operation, the<br />

objectives and functions of the special cell are laid down as follows<br />

OBJECTIVES<br />

1. Identification of training needs of various sectors in co-operation and also of<br />

cooperation Dept. & designing training courses.<br />

2. Training of non-officials/officials in the co-operative sectors and co-op.<br />

department officers for capacity building.<br />

3. Undertaking Action Research Projects in co-operative sectors.<br />

4. Identifying best practices in various co-operative sectors and disseminating them.<br />

5. Undertaking studies for good governance in co-operative sectors.<br />

6. Providing consultation to various sectors of co-operation.<br />

7. Studying co-operative movement in the context of liberalization, privatization &<br />

globalisation and studying movements in the developed countries for adopting<br />

best practices.<br />

FUNCTIONS<br />

1. Organising training of officials/Non-officials of DCCB/Urban Cooperative<br />

Banks/Co-operative credit societies/ APMC/Dairy Co-operatives / BLVAC /<br />

Sugar cooperatives /PACS/Tribal societies.<br />

2. Organising training of the field staff of adm and audit wings of the cooperative<br />

department.<br />

3. Organising induction and foundation training for officers of co-operative dept.<br />
