Assignment<br />

The follow<strong>in</strong>g <strong>page</strong>s <strong>in</strong>clude a list <strong>of</strong> nations with oil reserves and a graph that will<br />

illustrate the world’s oil reserves <strong>in</strong> billions <strong>of</strong> barrels. Use the <strong>in</strong>formation from the list<br />

to fill <strong>in</strong> the bar graph. Notice the nations that have an asterisk (*) before their names,<br />

which are located across the bottom <strong>of</strong> the graph. These nations are members <strong>of</strong> OPEC,<br />

Organization <strong>of</strong> Petroleum Export<strong>in</strong>g Countries.<br />

Use two colors to create the bars on the graph: use one color for the OPEC nations and<br />

one color for the other nations. Write <strong>in</strong> the amount <strong>of</strong> oil reserves <strong>in</strong> the boxes above<br />

each bar. For example, after color<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the bar for the U.S., you will enter “22” above<br />

that bar.<br />
