transmission of high quantities of data. The metal foil<br />
shielded pairs achieve a high degree of high crosstalk<br />
attenuation (ACR). The overall tinned copper shield<br />
facilitates reliable transmission of data respectively<br />
impulses and protects the cable against<br />
electromagnetic interferences. The patch cable ensures<br />
a flexible connection of terminals.<br />

<strong>CC</strong>-LAN-cables shielded are used as data cables in<br />
the cabling systems of the Token-Ring-Networks of<br />
IBM with a data rate of 4MBits/s and 16MBits/s.<br />
The “A”-Types are approved for data rates of up to<br />
100MBit/s.<br />
Construction<br />
acc. to IBM-specification:<br />
Type 1 with 2 drilled 0,64mm x double cores, Type 6<br />
with 0,40mm x copper wires, cell-PE core insulation,<br />
core colours are red, green, orange and black. Pairs<br />
are double shielded with aluminium foil and tinned<br />
copper shield. PVC outer sheath.<br />
Twinax cable:<br />
Inside conductor out of 7-strands of tinned copper<br />
wire, PE core insulation, cores twisted in pairs with<br />
very short lay lengths, tinned copper shield.<br />
