Keynote Address -
The Social Services
Quandary:
Needs Rise as
Denise Schaller
Schaller Solutions
Social Services are always important,
but their purpose becomes
even more vital during hard times. During lean
years, the need for services increases in response to
worsening economic conditions. This dilemma impacts
the child welfare and adult services systems as well as
the family and safety net assistance caseloads, child
support, Medicaid, and related programs. This conference
considers the implications of this situation for persons
who access social services and the different
strategies and options that local districts have available
in comparison to past economic downturns.
Denise Schaller is the lead trainer and owner of Schaller
Solutions. She has developed and delivered a broad array
of training programs for workforce development agencies,
one-stop centers, welfare programs, educational institutions,
correctional facilities, and human services agencies.
