anniversary on december 21. he retired<br />
from teaching for freehold Regional<br />
high schools in 2006 after 42 years.<br />
Their son, haRTsON W., graduated from<br />
Monmouth university in 1996.<br />
jaMEs f. ROgERs (bus. adm.) has<br />
retired from his position as administrator<br />
for the borough of deal after 15 years of<br />
service. he was formerly a vice president<br />
of sales and marketing for a paint<br />

jaMEs R. akERs (Elem. Ed.), of jim<br />
akers Photography in santa Monica, ca,<br />
was named a silver Medalist during the<br />
Professional Photographers of america’s<br />
(PPa) 2013 International Photographic<br />
competition. he was honored at PPa’s<br />
annual convention, Imaging usa,<br />
january 12-14, 2014, in Phoenix, az.<br />
gaRy s. bauM (bus. adm./Elem. Ed.)<br />
in November won the Pacific coast clay<br />
court Men’s 65 doubles title held at the<br />
la costa Resort in california. his partner<br />
was luis glass, a former all-american at<br />
ucla. baum is an attorney in cardiff by<br />
the sea, ca.<br />
WIllIaM g. dalTON (Elem. Ed.) was<br />
appointed in November to the board of<br />
trustees of brookdale community college<br />
in lincroft. a former mayor of Interlaken<br />
from 1988 to 1992, dalton was a global<br />
vice president for International flavors<br />
and fragrances for 25 years before<br />
retiring in 2003.<br />

fERRIs j. aNTOON (M.s.E.), who died in<br />
january 2013, was honored in November<br />
by having the gym in the frank antonides<br />
school in West long branch named<br />
in his honor. The new ferris antoon<br />
gymnasium logo was unveiled at a<br />
special ceremony with family and friends.<br />
antoon taught physical education at<br />
the school for nearly 25 years. he also<br />
founded the brookdale community<br />
college sports camp in 1974, serving as<br />
the camp’s director for 25 years.<br />
baRbaRa j. McMORROW (Engl.)<br />
(M.a.T. '76) was re-elected in November<br />
to the freehold Township committee,<br />
where she served as mayor in 2013. she<br />
is president of the board of Trustees<br />
of the legal aid society of Monmouth<br />
county, a member of the board of<br />
directors of the Monmouth county<br />
friends of the Parks, a member of<br />
the board of directors of the Infoage<br />
Museum, and a member of the board<br />
of Trustees of the girl scouts of the<br />
jersey shore. her husband, PaTRIck,<br />
graduated from Monmouth in 1969.<br />

(M.s.Ed. '79) was re-elected in November<br />
to the shore Regional high school board<br />
