EFQM Excellence Model
Accreditation
An independent, internal EFQM (European Foundation for Quality
Management) assessment was undertaken in November 2008, to assess
our business against the EFQM Business Excellence Model and help to
establish a more process driven mindset within the business.
Sustainability Scorecard
RACI Model
In addition to job descriptions for
all employees, we have adopted
the RACI (Responsible,
Accountable, Consult & Inform)
matrix to properly define
everyone’s role and
responsibilities, ensuring that
everyone knows exactly what is
expected of them.
Our Management Systems have
been certified to ISO 9001:2000,
ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS
18001. This supports our
commitment to quality,
environment and health and
safety standards.
Integrated Management
System (IMS)
The IMS has evolved as our
management systems have
developed. All aspects of
company management have
been brought together using the
IMS Portal. The portal is the
entry point to a vast repository
of regularly updated
information including our
Project Controls.
Skanska implement a performance management system called the
Sustainability Scorecard which measures monthly performance of key
performance indicators.
Guidelines
Guidelines and publications
have been developed and produced
through a collaborative
forum. The Contract
Performance Group consists
of representatives from all the
Skanska UK business units
and is headed up by our Chief
Executive Officer. These
guidelines underpin our project
controls and performance.
