Code of Conduct<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong>’s Code of Conduct policy covers key subjects<br />

such as:<br />

• General Principles<br />

• Employee Relations<br />

• Behaviour in Our Marketplace<br />

• Environment<br />

Five Zeros<br />

The new code of conduct is embedded in all enquiries,<br />

purchase orders and subcontracts. All Senior Management<br />

and employees involved in commercial roles are required<br />

<strong>to</strong> review and acknowledge their obligations by signing a<br />

declaration <strong>to</strong> confirm their understanding and their<br />

compliance <strong>to</strong> the specific company code. <strong>Skanska</strong> Civil<br />

Engineering audited some 150 employees and achieved<br />

the required 100% response rate.<br />

The principle of how we work<br />

Clients, cus<strong>to</strong>mers, inves<strong>to</strong>rs and employees all care about<br />

what kind of company <strong>Skanska</strong> is. To take on board these<br />

demands and maintain the <strong>Skanska</strong> brand, we strive <strong>to</strong><br />

succeed in our values of: Zero loss-making projects, Zero<br />

accidents, Zero environmental incidents, Zero ethical<br />

breaches and Zero defects.<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong>’s 10 Golden Rules<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> have introduced a set of 10 rules for success:<br />

1. Biggest Challenges are highest on the agenda<br />

2. Be disciplined and structured in meeting<br />

preparation and execution<br />

3. Total openness and transparency<br />

4. Be curious, inquisitive and open-minded<br />

5. Speak up, dare <strong>to</strong> disagree, everyone is obligated<br />

<strong>to</strong> engage<br />

6. Commitment, be accountable for our decisions<br />

7. Work-life balance must be prioritized don’t push<br />

each other <strong>to</strong> the limit<br />

8. Care for each other, be supportive<br />

9. Ask for help<br />

10. Celebrate vic<strong>to</strong>ries<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> UK’s new internal structure sets out the principles<br />

of how we work and outlines our approach <strong>to</strong> the new<br />

collaborative way of working.<br />

A key principle of how we work is that of a “One <strong>Skanska</strong>”<br />

approach, recognising the new ways of working required as<br />

we travel on our journey <strong>to</strong> success – creating and<br />

securing a sustainable future for <strong>Skanska</strong> UK.<br />
