Alumni Happenings We asked what’s new with our alumni and here is what they had to say… Class of ’96: Kelly Correll-Boogertman married to James Boogertman on June 9th, <strong>200</strong>7. Became a new mom to Cassidy Rose Boogertman on October 28th, <strong>200</strong>8 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Islip, NY. Class of ’98: Lauren Stone Tedesco graduated from Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts in <strong>200</strong>2 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Movement & Sports Studies (Physical Education). Received a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY in <strong>200</strong>7. On May 1st, <strong>200</strong>8 Emily Christine Tedesco was born at Peconic Bay Medical Center, Riverhead, NY. Class of ’99: Matt O’Sullivan graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcast, July <strong>200</strong>8. Started an online radio talk show, The Sully Show (www. sullyontheradio.com), with live streaming video and audio. Also working on voice over for the creators and writers of Mystery Science Theater 3000 at www. rifftrax.com. Class of ’01: Dympna Vernon obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Joseph’s College, Patchogue, NY. Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree from Touro College, Bayshore, NY, in Early Childhood Special Education. Engaged to McGann-<strong>Mercy</strong>’s Music/Film/ Choral Teacher, Jamie Calandro. A June 27th, <strong>200</strong>9 wedding is planned. Class of ’02: Charlotte Hawkins graduated from St. Joseph’s College, Patchogue, NY with a degree in Child Studies and Speech Communications. Traveled through Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and Cambodia. Currently completing graduate work in Speech Language Pathology at C.W. Post, Brookville, NY, and living in Hicksville. Class of ’05: Diana O’Donnell graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY with an Associate’s Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Marketing. Class of ’06: Ian Davidson attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY for Mechanical Engineering. Currently employed as a mechanical design engineer with Schick Wilkinson Sword. Class of ’06: Alaina Gizzo is attending Salve Regina University, Newport, Rhode Island. Double major in Communications and English. Honors Scholar, member of Sigma Phi Sigma National <strong>Mercy</strong> Honor Society, and Sigma Tau Delta National English Honor Society. The McGann-<strong>Mercy</strong> Alumni Basketball Game brought <strong>Mercy</strong>’s former players back onto the court on December 27th, <strong>200</strong>8. McGann-<strong>Mercy</strong>’s First Alumni Flag Football Game was held on Saturday, November 29th, <strong>200</strong>8. The clear blue skies and 50 degree weather made it a perfect day for a football game. About 30 players attended. The day was full of football memories, as the graduates shared stories of the early days of <strong>Mercy</strong> football. With no serious injuries, just stiff backs and aching knees, it was a victorious day in the lives of the McGann-<strong>Mercy</strong> football alumni. Reunion in NYC: Michael Tarulli ‘97, Patty Wittmeier ‘74 and Stephen Ayala ‘99 reminisced about <strong>Mercy</strong> High School at the Public House in New York City.
